No, I pulled it out of my ***.DaBoys4Life;2289821 said:that didn't answer my question is that poll even official ???
"Belittling"? When is comparing how I have seen, for example, how the AP has voted for over [edit]*30 years to how I see them voting due to the results from the past three days, can defined as "belittling?"DaBoys4Life;2289727 said:I think you are belittling what Bama did to UGA.
It's possible. It's more probable than Alabama leapfrogging Texas, LSU and Oklahoma as you first stated, but is it likely based on the AP's polling history? Not likely. If anything, Alabama will leapfrog Texas and Texas alone. Everyone will get a feel for how the AP will vote when USA Today/ESPN releases it's poll today.DaBoys4Life;2289727 said:They might not leap frog OU but they will leap frog Texas and LSU.
You're referring to the changes which occurred from the preseason poll, when pollsters hadn't seen anyone play, to the Week 1 poll. The AP pollsters saw No. 1 Georgia dismantle Georgia Southern of the Southern Conference, No. 2 [edit]*Ohio State pounded Youngstown State of the Missouri Valley Conference and No. 3 USC completely demolish Virginia of the A-C-C.DaBoys4Life;2289727 said:The AP polls had already done something unprecedented this year when USC leap frog UGA after a win.
hmm...DaBoys4Life;2289727 said:So if Bama doesn't leap frog OU I could easily see them sitting at #2 with LSU#3 and Texas #4 however I think Bama should be #1 after that win we just have to wait and see.
peplaw06;2289824 said:I think everyone knew UGA was overrated when USC jumped them in the polls. Impressive win, but I still don't think it was as impressive as USC beating Ohio St. like a drum.

Southern Conference opponent.
Missouri Valley Conference opponent.
A-C-C (i.e. major conference) opponent.
USC was sitting at #3, only two slots out of first. Just how the heck do you think subjective polling works??? hmm...
Going by what I think the AP will do, this is how I see it:
No. 1 USC will drop to No. 5.
No. 2 Oklahoma will elevate to No. 1.
No. 3 Georgia humiliation at the hands of No. 8 Alabama will drop them to No. 8.
No. 4 Florida nailbiting loss to SEC opponent Mississippi will cause them to slip to No. 7.
No. 5 LSU will take over the No. 2 after a solid win over SEC opponent Mississippi State.
Idle No. 6 Missouri (which I didn't mention earlier) will stay put at No. 6.
No. 7 Texas will bypass idle No. 6 Missouri after their whitewashing of Arkansas, which is one of the worst major college teams in Division I-A, and take up residence at No. 4.
No. 8 Alabama will leapfrog idle No. 6 Missouri and No. 7 Texas due to their impressive victory over Georgia and settle in at No. 3.
No. 9 Wisconsin will drop out of the top 10 after losing their 19-0 halftime lead to Michigan.
Idle No. 10 Texas Tech will take over No. 9.
No. 12 Penn State's impressive victory over No. 22 Illinois will leapfrog them over idle No. 11 Brigham Young to No. 10.
So, my prediction for the AP Top Ten this week will be:
1. Oklahoma
2. LSU
3. Alabama
4. Texas
5. USC
6. Missouri
7. Florida
8. Georgia
9. Texas Tech
10. Penn State
We'll see if the AP tendencies will coincide with what you think will happen or with the pattern of how they have voted in the past.
You really don't understand subjective polling.DaBoys4Life;2289922 said:Yea but USC jumped UGA after they beat Virgiana not OSU
Because they didn't play any body teams normally don't go up when they don't win
Florida falls out of the Top 10 IMO i find it a bit sketchy that you have LSU at #2 considering they only won by 10 points against a lesser opponent in MSU.
top 5
1 Bama
2 OSU
3 LSU
4 Texas
5 USC

This will become an even better thread once the AP poll comes out.
:bang2:DaBoys4Life;2289951 said:You don't think Bama being up 31-0 by the half at UGA isn't going to rocket them to #1 ?
Waitasec. Which one was released first? The AP's or the USA Today/ESPN poll?jimmy40;2289817 said:Coaches Top 25

Clemson 20, Illinois 22, East Carolina 23, TCU 24.
This was a major shake up which blows my prediction out of the water.
The USA Today/ESPN coaches poll has come out on Sundays for sometime, but I must haven't been paying close attention to the debut of the AP poll each week because I thought it came out on Monday. Oh well.DaBoys4Life;2290168 said:I don't think TCU should have been dropped from the rankings considering their opponent was ranked #2. Biggems;2292944 said:Georgia got beat by a top 10 team, and actually made a game of it late.....but still dropped from 2 down to 11.....bogus....
IMO, Georgia should still be ahead of USC. the Beavers were unranked and were blown out by flippin Stanford. USC had no excuse losing that game.
Georgia and USC should be switched.
But of course the Trojans continue to get mad love from the media.....the USC hype machine lives on
Biggems;2289116 said:Texas is 7 and Alabama is 9 and even lower in some polls. Texas has dominated every opponent. There is no reason for Bama to jump Texas. However, Bama should jump UGA.
Oh and if TT continues winning.......
1 OU
2 Mizzou
3 Texas
4 Bama
5 TT
It would be totally unreal to see the rankings like this going into next week....but it is possible.
1 USC lost to unranked OSU
4 Florida lost to unranked Ole Miss
9 Wisconsin lost to unranked Michigan
3 UGA loses to 8 Bama
5 LSU loses to unranked MSU
Now I wouldnt be too upset if Bama was 3 and Texas was 4 going into next week......but if Texas were to win their next 3 games, they would jump Bama anyway......
DaBoys4Life;2294860 said:yea tell me about it and didn't OSU fall to like 14 after losing to the #1 team in uSC
these rankings are such a joke its like losing to an unranked opponent doesn't matter. You should be dropped out of the top 25 when that happens. Uconn getting no love @ 5-0 florida ranked higher than OSU I understand why the call it BS instead of BCS>
