You know I'm getting tired of some Cowboy fans always putting the team down during the games which the outcome might not look good. If you want to be so negative, you need to find another team. Why put yourself through so much misery? I understand passion for the team, but keep all your negativity to yourself for those of us who have faith. I'm venting because everytime I go into a chat room there are a couple of fans who never have nothing good to say.

It's good to have opposing views. If everyone had the same view we'd be the extremeskins board :D

Hey I just thought about it and sorry for the "shut up " comment.

I understand you're a good fan and always like to keep things positive, but you have to understand, thats not part of human nature.

When the team is playing bad it's like we are playing bad, it hurst all of us and some people myself included throw out negative comments to justify or just get that anger out.

For example when COrtez was missing FG, I was asking for his head, WAs I wrong for doing it? yes I guess so

but will I take it back if it were to happen again?

Hell no I'm glad that dirty punk is out of this Team and I dont regret anything I said about him.

See what I mean, it's part of being a fan.......

Its not when you get mad at players or the coach, but as soon as the other team takes the lead some fans say we lost and the game has just started. I was never talking about the forum, I said chat rooms when watching the game.

At the Denver game I was sitting in front of a lady who was like that. As soon as Denver scored that was game over. Instead of realizing that we had a lot of time in the game. Denver did end up winning but the game was far from over after the 1st few min of the 1st qrt. I think some need to learn how to chill out while watching a game an understand it is a 4 qrt game

I'm getting tired of people getting tired.

I'll decide when to be positive and when to be negative. I can make the decision for myself because I image I have been a fan a lot longer than anybody else here; at least as long since I started in 1960.

Sure you can and others can get tired of hearing whinny fans who feel the need to complain all the time. Granted there are all kinds of fans

I don't mind people who are upset when we play bad and happy when we play well. The ones I do not like however are the ones who ONLY post when we are playing badly. I will give an example yesterday in the game thread when we were playing poor at the beggining of the game a certain person had these things to say

looking like a team that quit at 3:46 PM

Quit Quit Quit.... at 3:47 PM

our offense is garbage...plain and simple at 3:52 PM

we are officially done. 4:16 PM

surrender all hope.....WE ARE DONE. at 4:17 PM

Done...................no doubt. at 4:18 PM

Start your wishlist for the 2006 draft... 4:21 PM

We Are Pitiful!!!!!!!!!!!! 4:22 PM

Now after all this a funny thing happened we started playing well, we scored, and then got a fumble and scored again to take the lead 17-14 what did this particular poster post? NOTHING he didnt say a thing about us being ahead positive or negative.

Then another funny thing happened 1 hours and 34 minutes later when KC came back ahead he started posting again

Our OL is a piece of crap at 5:56 Pm

Our FS is a piece of crap at 6:09 PM

Say hello to the draft....our D is on vacation. at 6:10 PM

Damn you Parcells.....abandon the run already!! at 6:13 PM

After this of course we won the game. How happy was this "Cowboys fan"? No idea. not one post about the game he replies in an off topic thread and logs out. These are the kind of "fans that get to me

I think some people are missing some extreme sarcasm or planned negative karma on the chat forum. HeavyHitta31 is our resident chat negatologist or is it negativitist...whatever, anyway the planned negative karma is for bringing the Boys back when they're down and works like this.

HH or someone else throws out a negative comment if we fall behind or begin to look pathetic. Most of the time, the comment causes something psychophysiological to happen that allows the Boys to come back and keep it close. Notice how we've been in almost every game this year?

You can thank HeavyHitta31.

Need examples to prove it. Here are some from the KC game:

Cowboys are driving in the last quarter of the game and are down by 4. HH proclaims, "watch Bledsoe throw an INT here." What happens? A long completion to Glenn.

A few plays later, the Cowboys are close to the goalline, HH says it again, "now Bledsoe will throw an INT." TD pass to Witten. Voila.

Fast forward to the end of the game....Witten drops the pass on 4th and goal. HH immediately types, "game over." What happens? The ref, controlled by an unknown force, throws a flag for defensive holding. First down. I rest my case.

So if you're in chat and see stuff like, "they're never going to win" or "watch Bledsoe throw an INT here," just let it slide. Its in order to keep the scales of karma balanced and the Boys in the game. HH is really the Boys' 12th man. :D

I have to take exception to your saying "we won". I am not trying to commplain or be negative, just realistic. I don't think "we won" as much as "they lost". If we'd have "won", KC would never have gotten in position to attempt that FG. Our D would have stopped them. This is why we lost the division lead to the Giants; we could not stop them, and their FG-kicker MADE it. The only difference was KC's did not. This is the way BP "won" his first SB: Scott Norwood of Buffalo missed a FG.

I am delighted the guy missed, don't get me wrong. But if we are to be a serious PO contender we really do have to start "winning" our games, not relying on our opponents to "lose them"...

That is crap. We won the game because we drove the length of the field with under 4 minutes to play and scored the TD we needed. The fact the opposing kicker missed a field goal does not detract from that fact.

Hey! We are all fans ranging from those who wear the gear because the new jersy or hat is out, The one's who committ to the direct tv highjacking each year because thats the only way to watch our beloved team each week, the one's who make to the game from far away states and those lucky SOB"S with season tickets. Cowboy love is in the air for most.

The true fans year in and year out are a glutton for punishment! Thank GOD! for foam bricks and towels to bite down on. To say we should not question the bad playcalling and feel no rage when we beat the iggles 33-10 and then turn around and lose to a team we dominate for 58 minutes is assinine!

Voice your opinion and keep the faith as long as you stay a cowboy fan i can live with a little moan'in and groan'in!

You take exception to me saying we won a game that we won? I mean the reality is WE WON. Even if they make that FG we are tied so who can tell what happens in OT the fact of the matter is we had over 450 yards of offense and drove the length of the field when we needed to and WON the game. This game was all about who made more plays we made one more than they did that is why WE WON

Believe it or not, some of us think we can be diehard, lifelong Cowboys fans and still retain a measure of objectivity. If we are going to say what we are tired of, I'm tired of an honest opinion about THE TEAM I LOVE, when it is negative, immediately being SHOUTED DOWN.

If being a fan means saying nothing that is negative, then you can say that I'm not a fan. Funny, though, if I'm not a fan, why do I keep tuning in, and doing stuff like this, for 20 plus years?

Answer: I am a fan, I just am not a Pollyanna who has to hear only "good thoughts" to love my team.

I'll take Drew Bledsoe as an example. My honest opinion is that we need to develop our own long term QB instead of patching the position every couple of years. I STILL believe that. I believe it on Bledsoe's good days, great days, and bad days.

BUT, just because that is my honest opinion doesn't mean for a second that I don't say "great throw Drew" when he hits Witten for a TD pass, or that I won't admit that I'm wrong if we win a Super Bowl with Bledsoe. Why if there is a Super Bowl? Because I still believe that this is what our team should aim for. Not just respectability or a playoff appearance, but the championship.

So see, I can be "negative" and positive about the same player based on what part of the issue we are discussing.

That isn't being an anti-fan.

I don't think I'm alone in thinking that way.
