I love Barber.

But Felix needs more looks.

It's now time to take the kid gloves off of Felix Jones and let him take over as the lead back down the stretch.

Barber will still have a big role doing what he does in the 4th quarter.

Amen dcfanatic...I'll co-sign for you on that one.

I am sure he cab do better than this

He ran over Witten yesterday. I think he's near 100% but not quite. He still gets that extra two yards when hit hard.

I agree Rain

I like him to but has that beating he has taken gotten to him

Choice and Felix are both clearly better runners than Barber. Barber is too slow to get threw the hole and much more suited for the role Parcells used him as and definitely not worth all the money he's receiving. Good player but he's being paid like a pro bowl back and he's not that type of back.

Toby Gerhart? I'd ask if you were joking, but I can tell you are not. Gerhart is slow, lacks athleticism, and has absolutely no chance of being a good RB in the NFL. NFL linebackers and DL's aren't like those sported in the PAC-10.

Gerhart is sitting with 1,736 yards and 26 touchdowns this season.

a perfect replacement for MBIII

Moreno 4.55
Wells 4.59
Ringer 4.53
Coffee 4.58

Gerhart made himself even more of a contender of the coveted award after his performance during the Stanford Cardinal 45-38 win over the Notre Dame Fighting Irish Saturday.
The running backamassed 205 yards with three touchdowns on 29 carries in a powerhouse performance.

yea right dude

All our running backs had some good runs today. We have so many good backs right now we could almost run an option offense and still have success.

I would love to see that in the next few games. Choice under center, Barber lead back and Jones the deep back.

ok I going catch a lotta Flack for this
but am going to throw this out there how about we trade Barber get rid of a big contract - we got two other RB's that would do just fine

now trade him and Hamlin (another big contract) to say to top five draft tream and get Eric Berry

and a 2 or 3 so we can get this kid

Toby Gerhart, Stanford
Height: 6-1. Weight: 232.
Projected 40 Time: 4.58.
Projected Round (2010): 2-4.
10/10/09: Think Jim Harbaugh is relying on Toby Gerhart a bit? Gerhart already has 120 carries in five games. He has 650 yards and eight touchdowns on a 5.4 YPC.

2/6/09: Tony Gerhart rushed for 1,136 yards and 15 touchdowns for Stanford as a junior. He also chipped in with 13 receptions.

So... we are going to trade Hamlin and Barber for a top 5 pick AND a 2nd or 3rd?

LOL....

:laugh2:
