Hypothetically speaking... could Marion Barber and Felix Jones be this year's Deuce McAllister and (rookie season) Reggie Bush?

We all saw how New Orleans stormed through the 2006-07' season with Deuce and Reggie in the backfield. Do y'all think Garrett and company have the same vision for our very own RB tandem?

Personally, the thought of having that kind of dynamic duo in the backfield has me thinking "Super" thoughts.

I hope our season ends better than theirs. A NFC Championship berth is great, but I want the Cowboys to go further. I want it all! Forget the win one playoff game crap. Win and keep winning.

(One game at a time, though).

Most definitely! I'm thinking more along the lines of winning the whole enchilada. But thinking of McAllister's and Bush's production that year and how the Cowboys could have that kind of potential with their own makes me smile.

Strangely enough I think that fixing the secondary weakness will change the time of possession and make the offense much more productive. I hope they use Jones in receiving mode a lot.

If so I sure hope Jones does a better job than Bush. If he doesn't run a lot better that would be disappointing. I doubt he'd catch as many passes but I at least hope he can average more than what seemed like 3 yards per reception that Bush racked up.

I want Felix Jones to eventually become another Michael Westbrook--and not a Reggie Bush. Just think how good the Cowboys will be then.

Michael Westbrook was a WR for the Deadsksins :p: You mean Brian Westbrook, correct?

I read that Garrett wants to use Felix like NO used Bush w/ McCallister, idk if it was true or not, or just speculation

I just hope Garrett implements more short passes and chills on the home run stuff a tad.

If Felix is even close to as good as Bush, I'd be estatic. I don't think he will be, at least not quickly, but I've always choosen to temper my expectation of rookies.

As of right now, we've seen what Reggie can and can't do, Felix we haven't seen a lick of, so I think the comparison is meaningless right now.

I wouldnt say they stormed through the season...they made the nfc championship game in a very down year...

and IMO Barber is better than McCallister by a good bit anyway, and our OL is alot better than theirs

I believe this is a very good comparison.

I dont like Felix getting compared to a bust

I'm with you. I can only hope and pray that Felix turns out better than Reggie.

Honestly i'm less then impressed with Bush i hope Felix is good, but if Bush is the standard i think we might have wasted a pick

reggie bush would have been a top 5 pick if he was a WR the same can't be said for Felix
