I dont like Felix getting compared to a bust

Of course it would be better for him to turn out better than Bush. That would be ideal. But Bush has been a mixed bag... not really a bust. He has shown that he is probably not ever gonna be a bellcow, but as a role player, he has looked as good as you could want. His yards per carry last year (on a bum wheel, by the way) I think were about 3.8, which is poor to mediocre, similar to JuJo. But if JuJo were capable of catching 70-100 passes per season like Bush, we'd have extended his contract.
We don't want Felix to become a bellcow... we want him to change up the scheme, add new wrinkles, and make it harder to figure our offense out. If we got a Reggie Bush-level production out of him, I'd say we accomplished that. That would not be a bust.
Pretty good comparison, really, I think.

Bush surely hasn't lived up to his hype but he still has the ability to take it to the house at any point.

The Saints will be able to use him correctly this year unlike last. He isn't a RB. He is better catching the ball outta the backfield.

Except that he never does take it to the house..at least not as a running back.

It's like people saying Barber isn't a home run threat. But I'd take his ability to knock out 30-40 yarders relatively consistently to those ultra burners who might bust off an 80 yarder once a career and 30-40 yarders much less often than Barber.

Reggie Bush's speed in the RUNNING game is COMPLETELY irrelevant. Yes, completely. Why- in 312 rushing attemps his CAREER long rush is 22 yards. Bush also has only 14 TD's in almost 500 touches. I'd rather have a 4.68 guy like Barber who busts off long runs than a 4.32 guy like Bush who doesn't bust off any. Hopefully Jones is a lot better than Bush in his role.

Bush is not a bust yet. people need to chill out with that. He has all the potential in the world, He proved it in college and in flashes in the nfl. Give him time. lets not forget what he did to us in dallas. The guy caa play, I wont be a bit surprised If he has a good year this season.
