That last TD run was all Barber, he pushed 2 Carolina defenders backwards for 5 yards before plowing into the endzone.

He's our version of Brandon Jacobs.

Lets not take away from Julius please, he had a great game also.

Listen I'm one of the biggest Julius Jones supporters but Marion Barber showed me a lot tonight on some key plays! So loosen up pal, no one is taking anything away from J. Jones....

MBIII had two nut cinching, man amongst boys, will not be denied runs that made me stand up and yell.
The first down run where he was hit 2 yards short of the first down line and spun off of it to get the first down.
And of course the TD run.
Those were manly fire-up-your team runs.

Marion just seems like a Parcells player. He runs fearlessly, he has a good head to block people, and he can catch passes out of the backfield.

He would start in this league for a different team than the Cowboys.

I love me some JJ, but Barber continues to impress. I hope to gad we can keep him for a few more years.

sad to say that everyone should enjoy him while he's still under contract, it may be his only one as a 'boy

i dont know, jerry is pretty good about signing players that the team wants to keep. If i had to pick only one, i would rather have barber. Jones is elusive and once he gets past the line he will almost always get by an open field tackle and get outside. But get a hand on him behind the line or at the line and he goes nowhere. Barber moves people back, he is more of a guy for long sustained drives, thats just the type of player i prefer.

I love the way MB3 runs you dont see many players run with that kind of heart these days...

Maroney runs like that for the Pats. Minnesota had a great tandem back when both Barber and Maroney were together.

Do I like Barber as a Rb? A resounding yes! Does Barber runs hard? Yes, but we should temper our enthusiasm because making punishing runs against a visibly tired defense is a lot different then doing it the entire game against a defense who is gaming planning to stop you the whole week. Just my $0.02

What impressed me most, was the excitement that JJ had for MB3 on the sidelines... It seems that they get along very well, and root for each other. Other RB tandems can't say that... I love me some MB3!!!!

Oh by the way, he does it against more than just a "visibly" tired defense... Come on now...

I love Barber and I love JJ. I want to see a lot of both of them.

If the line is blocking well and the holes are there we should use JJ most of the time, but if they are not Barber should be playing a lot more. He is just tough and tough to bring down and brings a spark with some of his tackle breaking ability.

 The TD at the end of the game was inspiring!!

Me and my son were both watching and saying to each other 'Barber is the MAN!' I really, really like Barber. He's all heart and toughness. Was nice to see JJ pumped out there a few times, too.

I have been very impressed with Barber this season. I love the combo of Jones and Barber. If the line can give them a little day light these guys are more than capable of getting the job done

A healthy running attack is important with an inexperienced QB. We are fortunate to have both JuJo and MBIII. What surprised is that we came out throwing early in the game, sort of like we did against NYG, but with better success this time. As this offense gels and Romo gets accustomed to the speed of the pro game, this offense could be unstoppable. We have so many weapons and the O-line seemed to have figured something out last night. Oliver Hoyte at FB seems to solve a lot of problems as well. Let's hope they sustain this level of play.

These guys different styles really compliment each other. JJ is fast and can make them miss. MB runs bigger that his size, is quick and tough and can block!

It's fun when we win :)

We have ourselves one Hell of a one-two punch at RB

I totally agree HH. I love the combination of Jones and Barber as they both bring different skills to the field. As much as I love Barber's tenacity and positive yardage he still isn't much of a threat to take one to the house while Jones is a decent hole away from going 70-yards on any given play.

They give us a great set of options when we need them so I don't see it as an either-or thing as some here seem to. Very few teams use a single "feature" RB anymore, most use a couple of backs the same way we do. The Giants have one of the best in Tiki Barber but use Brandon Jacobs in short yardage situations.

In fact, there are only 3 RBs who average more than 2 carries per game more than Jones' 20.7 (Larry Johnson 24.6, Edgerin James 23.1, & Chester Taylor 22.8). Of the 9 RBs who are averaging more carries per game Julius is averaging more yards per carry than 6 of them (Larry Johnson, Edgerin James, Shaun Alexander, Steven Jackson, Willis McGahee, & Willie Parker).

I think we are using our RBs very well right now and both are being pretty effective. We are 5th in the league in rushing so something must be working right. I think people look at Jones' average per carry and compare it with Barber's and say we should be starting Barber but they are used differently. The same was true of Emmitt and Hambrick but once Hambrick was the starter that gaudy average went way down.

I like what we have and hope that as the season goes on our O-Line will open more holes for Julius and we will see him run like he can when he has room.

Barber never seems to go backwards, always runs through the defender or bounces off and gets a few yards.

Loved it when madden said Barber is NOT going to go out of bounds on that last TD

Barber is just a workhorse who runs hard and his feet are always moving.

He doesn't have the "big play" potential of someone like Juluis Jones, but I think he is an overall better player.

I love how they line him up on the outside at time and I think he could be a bigger threat in the passing game, but there are just too many other great players on offense.

I bet his "hands" stack up well against some of the other players on this team.
