Barber out 2 weeks

he could run for 100 yards and two touchdowns. Barbers getting his job back when he's healthy....

Choice IMO should have been a starter ever since that amazing performance in Pitt (when they were actually the best defense in the NFL by a long shot)

sorry, dont know hot to embed.

But look at that. He looks better in that film alone then Felix or Barber ever has.

I never like seeing a guy get hurt, but this will give all of the "Choice fans" a chance to see him in quality time, for an extended period of time.

This may answer any questions as to who we should go with next year, Barber or Choice.

I hope Choice plays well because I would hate to lose him.

exactly we should of really got ride of barber when he was actually good back when we drafted jones and choice in the first 4 rounds of the same draft. We have to start making better personal moves. Why sign barber to a huge contract and draft 2 backs in the same draft the same year.

We keep forgetting that a big part of Barber playing has to do with him being the best blocker out of the running back trio. Felix is adequate at best and Choice is not an effective or consistent blocker.

Where does this come from?? You are not the third down back (obvious passing down) as Choice was all of last year and not be an effective or consistent blocker.

I've always believed Barber got lot more props in this area because he blew some people up in the past. Unfortunately, IMO anyway, his blocking physicality has gone the way of his physical running style. These days, you're more apt to see Barber get blown up in the backfield than stone an oncoming rusher. Not to mention he seems more concerned also with getting out into the pattern now than even chipping.

If you noticed alot of our good runs came from the draw play. We dont run the draw play as much this year. Is that why our run game is worst this year. It seemed like the draw made the d-line think pass, run or screen at any moment.

exactly what i have been seeing...its like do our backs even help our offensive line. Stop being selfish try to get a quick pass instead chip first than go out for a pass.

Marion Barber, Keith Brooking and Bradie James are missing as practice begins. It'd be surprising if Barber (calf) plays vs Colts.

All three of these guys can take a couple weeks off, esp with Manning coming up:laugh1:

A speedy recovery, Marion. But while you heal I hope you have time to update your 'do. Dreds are so 2003, don't you think?

I like Choice but to say he is 'better than Felix or Barber ever were' is ********. :laugh1: Notice that most all of those runs in that highlight video there are holes big enough to drive a bus through and the big screen plays, Felix has been doing pretty well with to say the least.

Yeah were is the key word.

We need that 06-08 MB3 desperately but he is just gone and the Cowboys need to just realise that.

NFL is all about big plays. Not 1 yard carries.

So if Choice isn't the best blocker than so be it. We'll manage just fine without that luxury.

Oh, the days when Davis was actually a beast pulling and getting out in front...

when Garrett tells Choics "this is your job to lose" he better tell him what it means:D

I love Barber, always have and always will, but I'm not upset about this, at all. I've been a big time Choice fan since his rookie year and have wanted him to be the one splitting carries with Felix through out the games.

This is a postive for the Cowboys running game. Maybe now they'll see that Barber should return to his role as a closer, only, and go with Choice and Felix throughout the rest of the game.

If Choice gets some real time and takes advantage it probably opens the door enough where we will throw Barber out in the offseason.

This is EXACTLY what I hope happens.
