Draft show guys saying Bama took him off the field on run downs? Online scouting reports saying he’s weak vs run as well. You sure you want that at 10 on a team that was 31st vs run last year?

What draft show guy said that lie? Id be shocked if Dame or Bucky said it because its not true

I don't think anyone wants him at 10 lol.

You draft him because of his passrush upside, the idea that he's this run-stuffing 1T is a myth, because he never was that at Bama. Can he be good against the run? Probably. But that's not really what his draft stock is pegged to. The fact that he didn't really play against the run against Bama doesn't necessarily mean he couldn't.

Why didn’t he start? Shouldn’t first round picks be starters?

No. First down is less important than third down. You want guys who are in on third down.

And beyond simply the downs, Saban prioritizes the pass game over the run game. It's better to have guys he trusts against the pass than the run, because it means he thinks they're the better players.

To me you draft Barmore because he is a 20 year old potentially catalytic interior rusher....that could potentially move all over the interior.....and could potentially play at 320 lbs.

You draft him in the first, but not at 10. Potential is a big word for him. He will give enough in 2021 to be a useful player, but you are still drafting more much potential than finish. I like him alot as a trade down option. His ceiling could be prime Muhammad Wilkerson

Can you get something with Saban saying that on record? If true we should assume other Bama first round DT’s didn’t start or play on runs downs correct?

Bama gets out to a big enough lead early , what run?

"I changed my philosophy...we gotta outscore em"

In other words, throw the ball.

Sound like smoke to me. You mean except for his 9.5 tackles for loss. I would love that kind poor play against the run by our DTs It would a change from getting pushed back. The "draft profile" I read says he's good against the run and a three down player.

All I know is many reliable media scouts have him rated in the 40's.

I haven't seen anyone pick Barmore at #10. I have no idea what his detractors say, but he did not participate in the bench press at his pro-day. Is he injured, or did he just opt out? DTs who opt out of that drills better have a good excuse otherwise I would think they are hiding something.

Lol funny isn't it? People can just lie and fans believe it.

At 10.

44 yes. Or if you can trade up into the late first for him.

Lol this is exactly what I’ve been saying is going on at the pro level.

This obsession with defense is silly.

Defense has become do the best you can with all of the odds stacked against you.

The NFL does not want you playing good defense.

I’m not saying to not try and improve defense but this mentality that we have to take defenders even if Kyle Pitts is available is just moronic.

I'd be happy with Barmore if Surtain, Sewell, Pitts, and Slater are off the board. For me, it's a toss up between him, Moehrig, and Horn. On that note, I thought he looked good against the runs. I think he could handle it.

Exactly!!! Compared to our DTs last year, his production is team MVP worthy!!

I've been playing with an idea I saw on youtube today trying it out on the simulator it gets one of the top corners and Barmore.

Everybody needs to watch this film!

Mark Holmes absolutely explains why it would be best for the Cowboys if they went after and drafted Christian Barmore. If you have doubts or are not sure, watch this video and understand why Barmore should be the Cowboys pick in the 1st round, even at #10!
