Barnett or McKinley?

Who does Barnett compare to in your mind? You have sort of described Almost Anthony Spencer (Barnett) and Bruce Irvin (McKinley).
Barnett reminds me of a bigger James Harrison of the Steelers. Both are vicious, ferocious competitors who would eat your heart out if it meant winning. I would take Barnett over ANY edge player in this draft. Malik Hooker, to me, is the best all around player, followed by Mike Williams, WR, Clemson, then Barnett- IMHO. All three are the best & most complete players at their respective positions, create the toughest mismatches, & put greater stress on their opponents than anyone else in the draft.

I think the reports of Barnett being a subpar athlete are overblown. If you watch his clips you'll see him dropping that shoulder and bending that edge low.

It is a "highlight" video, but for the purpose of showing what I'm taking about it's worth watching.

The word that comes to mind when watching his game is relentless!

To answer the OP, I like them both but Barnett gets the nod if both are available.

Barnett will be long gone by the time we pick
I don't know, unless he tests well, I'd say it's possible.

Witten dropped to the third because there were other TEs who had better speed and measurable. Ppl downgraded the boring total player in favor of the tantalizing niche player. As always.

I think he'll be gone by 28, but I could see him going in the 20s.

I agree this post should be more about Taco Charlton vs Carl Lawson vs Tak vs Charles Harris we are picking at 28 and all will be projects versus completed talent like Zeke, and Zack Martin. I like Carl Lawson some of you shudder at his injury history. Later in the draft we should still be looking at talent like Jordan Willis or Tanoh Kpassagnon if we sidestep the DE position in round 1 with "BPA".
