If anbody still thinks and finds reasons that Dallas is a good franchise just look at the FA list.
When people have to pay bucks for something usually all the glorifying marketing BS stops and people start to be more realistic.

Best starter on defense in Dallas is viewed as a backup in the FA market.

He's an excellent player but not a good fit for some coordinators, which is why he has played for several different teams. Keep in mind, we had NOT hired CP at the time Stephen Jones made the public comment of wanting him back.

Personally, I still would love to see him return but he's at a point in his career where playing time and right fits are prioritized just as much as money. I think his return, unlike before CP hire, is now in doubt but we will see.

Chubb is the fa to watch. Not only did the Cowboys try to acquire him prior to the trade deadline, he also has played in a 3-4 front and was there in Denver when CP was an assistant.

Clowney is a typical 4-3 end and not a 3-4.

There are better edge rushers that we can get in the draft to take Clowney's place.
