Don't hire Marinelli to coach your defense if you don't value CBs who can tackle.

His defenses have been predicated on it.

Well they made a mistake then, cuz Carr and Claiborne aren't tacklers. Carr is half decent but by no means a physical corner when it comes to making a tackle and Claiborne couldn't tackle me. Most corners are not made to be great tacklers. They are paid to cover WR and when needed provide run support, ours don't do either very well.

Just to limit any potential confusion, a "clean break" has no bearing on surgical intervention.
It's determined by displacement and stability; some fractures are not sufficiently stabilized with simple casting, and require open reduction and internal fixation.

In fact, in retrospect, it probably would have been better for Romo's clavicle to be internally stabilized - may have gotten a complete union sooner.

Don't pay CB to tackle, 21 never liked to tackle and would do so only when it was absolutely required...you to pay your SS and FS to tackle. That's their job.

21 was an anomaly because he could cover like no other (at the time) and a threat in the return game. Our corners can't do either and it's just principle with me that ANY NFL defender (these days at this level) needs to be able to tackle. See Peterson, Revis, Norman and many others. Our CB's are total wimps with any contact.
