Wow!! Stephen A. Smith wasn't a POS for once!!
Stephen A. understands how the game is played and is actually quite intelligent as his bank account can attest. Bart Scott just doesn't know what he's doing in trying to be a lightning rod tool and thus can't read the room as they say. There's an art to shock value and this guy is trying to go about it like a plumber at an aerospace engineer's conference. However, there were worse people on this board making fun of Dak for snapping his leg on the field a few years back. That was the lowest I'd ever seen this fanbase.

Just curious if anyone bothered to click it. Doesn't seem offensive to me.

Exact words: This is a major major blow for Dallas, and like Stephen A. always says, just wait, something bad always happens.

Isn't that what half the posters here said after the news yesterday?
Well for one it's a mischaractarization of what Stephen A. says because he means it on the field when there are high expectations for the team and they underdeliver. It merely pokes fun. When someone suffers a season-ending injury, it's a somber thing and not something one jokes about, especially not the media who are all about PR.

Not to mention, the smirk he had.

Agreed - Stephen A just makes money talking the Cowboys. People don't realize he is literally an actor. Instead of being a pretend superhero in a cape flying through the city on TV, his role is the anchor man who's job is to talk crap about the most polarizing sports team in the entire world on TV.

I took the smirk on his face as though he enjoyed the news. By SA's response, he took it that way also

Wait....isn't Bart Scott saying they exact same thing everyone in here was saying?

It's not like he was laughing or making fun that he got hurt....he was basically saying the same thing I keep reading in here even before this injry: every time things are looking good....something bad happens to set us back. A hold out. An injury. A personality conflict. Something.

If I've seen this 1 time in here I've seen it 200. I kinda assumed the guy was a Cowboy fan once again bemoaning an untimely injury just when things were looking great.

Yall thought he was laughing that he got hurt?

You gotta get better friends lol
I hear ya. But, he's an acquaintance of mine. Far from being my friend. I've been in bands and my son too, people like him I keep around for that purpose. No way could I be friends with someone like that. I can't stand players like Tyreek Hill but I would never wish harm on them.

Bart is just trying to find a way to keep his job. It’s called shock jock for a reason. You can see he is still in pain from that butt weapon that the Giants/Jets took. I think he has a radio show in New York.
