Does anybody else wish it would just...go away? I wish it would just disappear. I can't stand hearing about it, I can't stand the highlights, I can't stand that playoff games look just like regular season games, and I can't stand that the season is a million days long.

I wish baseball didn't exist at all.

....yes, that's the least American thing I will ever say :laugh2:

I love everything about baseball. And playoff baseball is always great.

DIE DIE DIE.

Baseball and Football are easily the two best sports in the world.

Basketball used to up there until the NBA ruined it.

From a viewer perspective (which is what my OP meant) baseball is way down there for me.

Football
Lacrosse
Hockey
College Bball (hate hate hate the NBA)
Rugby
Golf
Soccer
Tennis

....baseball

I was moving away from baseball, then I started listening to games on the radio and really started to like it again. I can't watch on TV and don't go to games often but I can listen while doing other things.

I love baseball, very relaxing to watch a game. Playoff games are awesome. No offense but Hockey is my sport I hate. I think its basically soccer on ice. Its dumb that they let them fight. Why do they do that? For ratings? Well it gets none. Even the playoff games are not on major networks. Its a canadian sport, they can have it lol.

I enjoy baseball. Not as much as I use to due to the buiness aspect but I will still watch the games from time to time.

Baseball is a great game.
I don't like it as much as NFL, NCAAFB, NCAABB, or NBA...but it's next after that for me.

Must admit though; if I had grown up playing Lax or Hockey, they would probably trump it too.

I love Baseball. Have always loved it. Love playing, watching, I love Little League Baseball. My Wive loves Football but she usually doesn't sit down and watch it with me. She will watch from the Kitchen or just kinda hand around. However, she will sit right next to me and watch Baseball with me. It's one of the very few sports I can sit down and enjoy with my Wife and that makes it even better for me.

I love Baseball.

It is. We go to the local Triple A games here, Isotopes, and it's reasonable. We have a great time. The two younger kids like to go. They don't really watch the game but they still like to go. My oldest will sit down and watch the game when he has off and can come. We have a couple of beers and just enjoy some time. It's really cool Dooms. Pro games are kinda expensive thou. The Wife loves the Yankees and that's not cheap.

Astros game pretty cheap all in all. I can get a good seat for 15 bucks and sit back and enjoy the game. Granted I don't have the same passion for baseball as I do football. In my family football is almost a religion but for an inexpensive night out baseball is pretty cool.

Having played it growing up I think plays a part in the enjoyment I get out of it

Could not agree more, on both counts. It's pretty close in my house between Cowboy Football and Texas Football, hate to have to live off the difference of those two.

As far as Baseball goes, I think you are right. I love the game because it takes me back to my youth. I can almost smell the grass if I think about it hard enough. You are right there.

Makes for a long weekend when Cowboys and Longhorns lose. :laugh2:

Only down side with Baseball is there are just so many games. I like the play of the field but 162 game makes the individual game not as important.

I actually enjoy baseball quite a lot. For me personally, it is easily the best sport to watch in person.

Go Braves.

You said it Dooms, these last two have been pretty rough around the old homestead.

I know what you mean, My dog runs away when she hears the Eyes of Texas. :laugh2:

But I'm a man of faith, I think better days are ahead on both the Cowboys and the Horns. I also think to get the full enjoyment of total victory you have got to go through the pain of losing.

Tell that to the Braves and Red Sox. Haha

As a kid and a young adult I loved playing baseball. I enjoyed watching it on TV until a few years ago. Now I never watch it. I do, however; still love going to the ballpark and watching the local class A ball and a couple of times a year going to see the Braves play in Atlanta.

Watching a game live is really relaxing, unlike watching a game of football live which if full of adrenaline.
