No. 12 CB Will Johnson, Michigan
No. 44 WR Jayden Higgins, Iowa State
No. 76 LB Chris Paul Jr., Mississippi
No. 149 RB Trevor Etienne, Georgia
No. 170 LB Danny Stutsman, Oklahoma
No. 171 RB Bhayshul Tuten, Virginia Tech
No. 174 QB Tyler Shough, Louisville
No. 188 C Jake Majors, Texas
No. 211 DL Ty Robinson, Nebraska
No. 247 DL Howard Cross III, Notre Dame

This was a needs-based draft based on what we've done in free agency so far and who we've lost. I went by the rankings at https://www.pff.com/news/draft-2025-nfl-draft-board-big-board. I can't say it would be my favorite draft if Dallas did it this way since I want a DT early. I'd also like an RB earlier. I do like Ty Robinson and think he'll be gone before that point in the draft. Same with Howard Cross, but his lack of height may make him a late-rounder. And Tuten is one of my favorite third-day backs.

If PFF has DT Robinson in the 200's their rankings can't be trusted.
For me switch Paul(170) and Stutsman(76)... and Etienne(171) and Tuten(149) to make it a little more realistic.
Stutsman and Tuten might go on Day 2.
Still need a slot corner, unless Bland plays there.

It's always hard to tell. Some players we think are going to go early end up being taken late and some who are late-rounders or even UDFAs get taken earlier than expected.

I don't swear by PFF's rankings, though. They were just one of the few that I found with that many prospects ranked.

All right. Have to adjust my needs picks based on today's free agency and trades.

12 WR Luther Burden III, Missouri (WR is the only need position we haven't addressed)

44 DT Alfred Collins, Texas

76 RB RJ Harvey, Central Florida

149 CB Alijah Huzzie, North Carolina (wanted to take a CB earlier than this, but didn't work out valuewise)

171 LB Danny Stutsman, Oklahoma

174 QB Kurtis Rourke, Indiana

204 C Jake Majors, Texas

211 RB Ja'Quindon Jackson, Arkansas

239 DL Ty Robinson, Nebraska

247 CB Tommi Hill, Nebraska

I tried to look at some other sites with that many ranked, but some of their early rankings were out-of-whack with more trusted ones I've viewed that were limited to 50 or so. So I stuck with PFF for my updated needs draft.

Rico Dowdle, will join the Carolina Panthers — the team announced — heading home to his familiar stomping grounds.

The native of Asheville, NC and former standout running back at South Carolina is reportedly a one-year deal worth a maximum of $6 million, with $3 million in promised salary, per NFL Network.

Running back in view, just moved up on projected draft boards.

What's the obsession with Majors? The centers in this draft are woeful.

Like the picks but hate where Robinson is slated. I see no way he lasts that late. Rd 3 is where you need to draft him, maybe rd 2.

I think he'd be a decent value at that point. It's not like he's being taken in the third round. I just went by PFF's values and chose him. If there is some other linemen you like better at that point, I wouldn't be opposed to it.

I agree, but am using PFF's value chart. And who knows? Players fall all the time for this reason or that reason.

I have us taking two in my revised draft, RJ Harvey in the third and Jackson in the sixth. I could easily see us taking one in the second, but Collins was the better value.

Good questions.

I like the idea. When I do my last one I may go BPA with the assumption that they aren't going to fix this thing in one season and also their goal to have no voids going into the draft.

Good effort but there isnt a single player here that i think will be a top end starter next year

This is need meets decent hole filling players draft. The exact thing you dont want to do

never plays out like the mocks show but Id be excited with this. although admittedly Kentucky CBs scare me now
