Others have said it, but I will repeat it. Tyron, for good or bad, is playing the best of all the Cowboys offensive linemen this year. Maybe he gets hurt again. That is certainly a possibility, but I think right now he is playing better than he has in a few years. Playing for the future when you are 4-2 and right in the thick of the race is counterproductive.
Watching the game again yesterday, I saw the entire OL struggle. Tyron gave up one pressure I recall early, but settled in and I did not see it happen again. I am a little surprised by how Martin poorly is playing (for him). I wonder if Martin is nursing his injury. Steele is an utter disappointment this year but maybe he needs time to recover completely for his injury. The Cowboys offensive line in the middle is missing a push. No one is getting any movement up front. On that Tush Push play, the middle of the Cowboys line got shoved back into the backfield and Dak had nowhere to go. I think Biadasz is good, but not that good. I think the reason that play works for the Eagles is Kelce.
I noticed a couple of other issues. First, I love Hunter Luepke, but he is not a good blocker as a fullback. Maybe he is just learning the position but he does not sustain his blocks and often misses his blocks. The TEs are not great either. McKeon struggles blocking as the H-back. I wonder if Hendershot was a better blocker than we gave him credit for.
The trick to a good running game is getting to the 2nd and 3rd levels and blocking effectively. The Cowboys aren't blocking well at any level. But it is definitely not Tyron's fault.
