Schultz was stuck behind Witten. He did well the first time he was given any real opportunity. Schoon is walking into a position group devoid of any real talent. If he was any good, he would take over.
Remember, Ferguson/Hendershot already have a yr of development and Schoon missed most of the offseason and camp. We need to be patient.

Saw Torrence in London struggling. Some players need development time as the Cowboys have been very fortunate with their 1st rd lineman. As for Schon, remember it took Shultz 3 years before making a big impact. TE is a position with a big learning curve, would like to see a veteran added to the group to help the prospects out
honestly besides last game I thing ferguson has been just fine

At worst Ferguson's ceiling is Dalton Shultz, but he is on a very cheap contract. The arrow is pointing up, however, I would like the team to add a veteran to help this young group out.

it does appear hendershot has fell out of favor. I think they are using mcKeon more so hes probably the vet your gonna get. Schoon needs to step up

Something isn't right with our OL, Pollard looks like Zeke last year where he has a player in his face as soon as he gets the ball. Pass protection hasn't been much better. Perhaps not much time together to get that continuity or they are struggling with the new blocking scheme.
I actually think this is the biggest problem with the offense right now. Tyler looked lost out there a couple of times Monday. If they don’t get it fixed it will be our undoing.

The guy is 26 years old. He is as good as he will ever be. I’d bet a lot of money he never sees a second contract in Dallas. I thought it was a bad pick at the time and nothing I’ve seen has changed my mind.

Tyron was our best OL at LAC. The OL does have issues at center and RT. Whatever the perceived issue, the answer does not involve inserting Bass.
It does not have a problem at C.

I think having a bunch of scrub RBs is the problem.

I’m not happy they rolled the dice on players coming back from knee surgery. Pollard is not back to where he was before the injury. Steele is grading out to be one of the worst right tackles in the NFL.

Biadez is just no Freddie. We need an upgrade there too.

Others have said it, but I will repeat it. Tyron, for good or bad, is playing the best of all the Cowboys offensive linemen this year. Maybe he gets hurt again. That is certainly a possibility, but I think right now he is playing better than he has in a few years. Playing for the future when you are 4-2 and right in the thick of the race is counterproductive.
Watching the game again yesterday, I saw the entire OL struggle. Tyron gave up one pressure I recall early, but settled in and I did not see it happen again. I am a little surprised by how Martin poorly is playing (for him). I wonder if Martin is nursing his injury. Steele is an utter disappointment this year but maybe he needs time to recover completely for his injury. The Cowboys offensive line in the middle is missing a push. No one is getting any movement up front. On that Tush Push play, the middle of the Cowboys line got shoved back into the backfield and Dak had nowhere to go. I think Biadasz is good, but not that good. I think the reason that play works for the Eagles is Kelce.

I noticed a couple of other issues. First, I love Hunter Luepke, but he is not a good blocker as a fullback. Maybe he is just learning the position but he does not sustain his blocks and often misses his blocks. The TEs are not great either. McKeon struggles blocking as the H-back. I wonder if Hendershot was a better blocker than we gave him credit for.

The trick to a good running game is getting to the 2nd and 3rd levels and blocking effectively. The Cowboys aren't blocking well at any level. But it is definitely not Tyron's fault.

I didn't like the pick either, but it's way too early to tell if he will become a good player or not.

Totally agree, they have to fix their ground game now, before it becomes too late. Better teams will feast on Dallas if they are one dimensional.

Needs to get better at guard before we make him LT. Tyron got beat on first drive but after that had a good game
Tyron when he has played has looked pretty good, yes gave up an early sack to Mack, where he just came off a game getting 6 of them. After he settled in, much better. Tyler really has struggled recently, we have to keep in mind, he doesn't have much experience playing inside, it takes time as things come at you much faster then at Tackle.

Hendershot recently went on the ir, it would be nice to add a veteran as these young players will still have some growing pains.

If you’re critical of Tyler Smith maybe it’s because he’s at guard not LT. My idea on pre season before regular season have Tyron at RT Steele in reserve .
Tyler’s best position in this league is by far and away at guard. All pro guard or average Tackle… it’s really that simple!

Tyler needs to play one position. Learn it well then you can try other positions. I was very happy they didn’t slide him outside when we had injuries this year. He needs the full season insude. He has really very little experience inside and as you say it’s hard to learn, happens fast and just knowing your responsibilities on a given play is complicated
He has the physical tools to be a monster inside once he learns it. Everything is much different than outside
