Batman - Adam West - Dead!

My mom told me she got Adam West's autograph when he was filming a scene for a Perry Mason episode in the early 60s. Said he was so handsome. lol. She was around 16 or 17.
Pretty cool!
I've got an older sister who lives in Atlanta and she kinda lurked/ stalked ' frank Gershwin' (?) The RIDDLER for his autograph
:lmao2: she was all excited telling me about it:clap:

...Adam West was the first to bring the "Batman" character to screen, at least for me.!...His portrayal of the caped crusader was actually very much in line with the comic's version of "Batman!"....sad to see him pass!...TDM

Loved his version the one and only. As Batman was funny and warm. While being no nonsense at the same time. Do not like the darker versions of him in the movies. May Adam RIP! Hence the avatar.

You guys can have the Riddler, the Joker and the Penguin. I'll take Julie Newmar.

Catwoman, Ginger, Mary Ann and National Geographic were all I needed as a kid! :p

Ha,ha, I used to snag some of the best visually horizon broaden magazines from behind the seats of the work trucks at the oil field yard as a kid of 10 or 12,,, yeppers.

Yowsers!

All of those visual sound effects in the Batman show could actually be heard emanating from my pre-adolescent shorts while watching those TV shows!

Just an fyi - I think his name was Frank Gorshin. Burgess Meredith played the Penguin and Cesar Romero was the Joker.
Thanks and I Copy!
I'm certain my sister would point that out to me also!
After all she apparently slapped a 8" x10" black and white photo on him to sign, hell, she prolly had a transit bus driver on a smoke break take a picture of them, she mentioned something along those lines,,, I was just listening to her over the phone?,,, it was prolly in my scotch drinking days, anyway.

When I was young, I watched Batman and took it at face value. As I got older, I appreciated West's campy portrayal of the character. It was like an inside joke to the parents of the kids watching the show. It was like he was telling them, "Its OK, your kids are safe with me."
