Yessir! The original is still the best. :D George Barris designed some of the coolest TV cars back in the day.
Here's some cool history on the original Batmobile: http://www.1966batmobile.com/
and on George Barris for all you car guys like me: http://www.barris.com/
thanks for the link to Barris' site. That Munster Coach is still my favorite of his work. I'll take the original Batmobile over any of the ones used in the movies too.

There isn't any exhibit going on. It's a production company, but what is out there is minimal. (not setting up a huge scene with lighting etc)

If this isn't the current car they are using, my guess is they are filming a scene to refer something that happen in a past Batman. I'm in deep lower Manhattan, they usually don't have exhibits down here, though they do a hell of a lot of filming.

They could be shooting some kind of documentary. They do that sometimes.

Is Batman making a cameo appearance?

The Batmobile from Batman Forever was spotted in New York's financial district today. Warner Bros. started shooting the comedy remake Arthur today and it looks like the Batmobile (and maybe Batman?) will be appearing in the film thanks to this photo from 'NY Olive.'

Starring Russell Brand, Greta Gerwig, Helen Mirren, Jennifer Garner and Nick Nolte, the new version follows a very rich, happy drunk who is told by his mother that he must marry the wealthy girl of her choosing or else lose his inheritance, just as he meets a poor girl and falls in love.

Wow, they are going to let Brand destroy Arthur.
