Just wanted to give props to this wonderful series. I never thought I would love a series on the SciFi Channel as much as this one.

I'm on the 2nd to last episode of Season 3.

Based on what I have read on the Internet, Season 3 was suppose to be the worst Season of the Series but I found it to be one of the best.

Oh, gotta love Colonel Saul Tigh taking the stand during the Gaius Baltar Trial.

I would post a link to it on Youtube but I bet he cusses in it :laugh1: .

Both Tighs were my least favorite characters.

(along with Dexter, Lost, Prison Break, The Sopranos, The Wire, Curb Your Enthusiasm)

Except for Curb I agree on everyone of those. I have been rewatching PB over the last month or so.

I am surprised at what Lee Odama did to Madam President.

Will be interesting to see if he and his father will ever have the same relationship ever again.

I finished episode 9 last night, which is the episode they find Earth.

It feels as if this should have been the end of the Series, but there are several more episodes to go.

Regardless, this last stretch of episodes I just watched is some of the best TV I have ever seen.

I'm just glad Lee Odama didn't "airlock" Colonel Tigh, even though the latter told him too :beer2: .

I prefer the Hendrix version.

Side note: That song was written by Bob Dylan.

Everyone prefers the Hendrix version. It's ****** Hendrix, for goodness sake. He's a legend. Even Dylan said that Hendrix did his song better than he did it.

But that was an interesting take on a classic song, which I appreciate. Even the opening theme, which kinda sets the "despair and longing" mood for the whole show is a classic already:

i personally was very disappointed with this series remake....BSG was my favorite show growing up and this one did it very little justice...slow boring plots with depressing characters and backdrops......very little action and not the adventure type show the original was.....

but as a fan of the original i watched every single episode of the new series and struggled to get through each episode....they even took the most popular character of the show who was a comedic, womanizing fun dude and replaced with an emotional wreck of a woman...(Starbuck) ...

the original series was a different adventure every show thjis one is one long drawed out sorry excuse of a mind scramble.....

and couldnt stand the Boltar/6 relationshgip from the beginning................

anyway thats my 2 cents...glad some enjoyed it

It was a PC version of the original series. That is all you need to know.

I couldn't disagree more. The original two series were aimed at children. That's why we all loved it as kids. The latest versions are aimed at adults. The tone is darker. The characters are developed much more. The story lines are more indepth. All things that I very much enjoyed. Loved every minute of every episode. What happened to the characters in the show is tragic. They are one step away from complete extinction. The new version deals with that reality in a much more believable fashion. The older versions treated what happened like it was just a big adventure.

As for Starbuck being a woman in the 2004 version, I didn't have a problem with it. Ditto that for the character of Boomer. It led to better and deeper story lines. JMO
