I couldn't disagree more. The original two series were aimed at children. That's why we all loved it as kids. The latest versions are aimed at adults. The tone is darker. The characters are developed much more. The story lines are more indepth. All things that I very much enjoyed. Loved every minute of every episode. What happened to the characters in the show is tragic. They are one step away from complete extinction. The new version deals with that reality in a much more believable fashion. The older versions treated what happened like it was just a big adventure.

As for Starbuck being a woman in the 2004 version, I didn't have a problem with it. Ditto that for the character of Boomer. It led to better and deeper story lines. JMO

Certainly the earlier series was much lighter, but I disagree that it was for kids. Later series was TOO dark and once again a slave to PC.

Todays Hollywood has people so disfunctional that they would never survive in the real world. If BSG was reality, they never would have made it off Caprica in the first place. Too stupid, incompetent and undisciplined.

I really liked the first 2 seasons but thought it went down hill from there

This may not make sense but here goes anyway.

All the seasons and all the episodes mean very little at the end. It was about one option that was finally altered the....

"This has all happened before and it will happen again".... but it doesnt this time.

And THAT doesnt happen until the very last episode. A great mind frak if you ask me. :laugh1:

Both Tighs were my least favorite characters.

I agree with Ellen, but Saul was one of my favorite characters on the show.

And I think it did go downhill towards the end, but it was still better than 95%+ of what is(was) on TV.
