BB says he would draft Banks at 12 to replace Martin ( RG)

When's the last time a guard was taken in the top 15? Zack was seen as cant miss. Is Banks a cant miss or do we have to wait for him like Guyton?

Peter Skoronski went 11 to the Titans in 2023 and Chris Lindstrom went 14 in 2019.

Almost every scouting report I have read, projects Banks kicking inside to guard.

Banks would be a stud Guard…but like RB class is loaded.

I would not take a OL at 12 unless it was a blue chip OT prospect and this class doesn’t have one.

Wait on RB and G…

Hmm I disagree about the OL class being loaded. There's almost no OTs if you don't project Banks as one and I'm seeing similar projections on most of the class having to move inside (Campbell, Mbow etc). Outside of Banks I don't have another OL graded in the first (need to watch Booker though). There's basically no C's either without position changes.

But is he day 1 can't miss though? I can live with a tackle taking time (Guyton) but not a guard. And I don't think titans would draft skoronski again if they had to re-do

If you're moving him it's always going to be less sure than the guy already playing the position. He's not Quentin Nelson but Banks is probably a blue chip player at Guard. I think he can stay at LT personally.

If other teams see it that way he's gone before 12.

My problem is 12 is way too high to talk of moving a player from one position to another.

The Guard class is loaded…the OT class is bad.

I don’t see any reason to move Banks. What is the weakness that will keep him from playing LT? I see a guy with the ideal size and athleticism of an NFL LT. Could he use a few months in an NFL weight program and a little technique clean up? Sure, but I don’t see any physical limitations that would make anyone think he can’t play LT.

If Dallas doesn't take DT or OT with that first rounder then we can conclude Jerry still doesn't have a clue how to fix their perennial woes. The only caveat being if they don't address those positions in free agency.

He also likes Mason Graham, McMillan, and Jeanty at 12.

i like him.
wouldn't hate it...but my preference is on the other side of the ball.
if they wait...i really like ohio st's donovan jackson.
can also play tackle.

another guy is oregon's ajani cornelius...some also project him as a og.

My perspective is if you draft Banks he better be playing LT. I'm not a fan of drafting a RG at #12.

Several OGs are around 6'3 325 in this draft, so go get one of those guys in a later round.
