BB says he would draft Banks at 12 to replace Martin ( RG)

I've come around on Banks, and would be happy to draft him at 12. But he's a tackle all the way.

Peter Skoronski went 11 to the Titans in 2023 and Chris Lindstrom went 14 in 2019.

Almost every scouting report I have read, projects Banks kicking inside to guard.
don't forget Quenton Nelson @ 6!

We just spent an entire offseason and season working with Guyton to be the LT. He showed me enough promise where I want him to stick there.

He’s got to cut down on penalties and I’m still puzzled over Edoga getting late season starts and snaps at LT if Guyton is the “ future “ ar LT,

MM and Solari gone should help him

IMO, Josh Simmons is a better prospect, except, he's coming off a knee injury. To draft a guard, you should trade down a few spots. But can tell what will happen, our draft room is the Jones Family Spring Reunion.

If we draft Banks it should be to replace Steele at RT. With him or Guyton.

Sure but most rookies do. I think he’ll be just fine with a good offseason and being healthy.

 Haven't heard that one

We've already replaced Martin. We have Bass, Hoffman, Beebe and Richards who can all play guard. They aren't Martin, but few are that good. Use our early picks on a different position. If the young players fail, we can address offensive line the next year.

If Dallas doesn't take DT or OT with that first rounder then we can conclude Jerry still doesn't have a clue how to fix their perennial woes. The only caveat being if they don't address those positions in free agency.
I'd be OK with taking Jeanty in the first and taking DTs with the next two picks. Value is going to be the issue in the first. Frankly, I think Derrick Harmon is worth the pick, but I'm not sure he's going to be seen as as good a value as Jeanty, maybe a couple of the receivers who could be at 12 and a couple of the DEs. OT might be a value there, but I really hope we let the line sort itself and address if next year if need be.

Jeanty is obviously a good player but this kind of rationalization is what Dallas has been doing for too long and too often, that's why they get to the playoffs and get punked, then they go into the off-season lamenting that the team isn't physical enough,,, again and again and again. They will never be a contender until they fix the trenches.

We've draft OTs in two of the last three drafts in the first round. Two of our top three picks last year were OL. I think we've done enough there to let it marinate for a year. Evaluate and see if there is actually a need to address.

I'm all for DT in the first round. I'd draft Graham over Jeanty in a heartbeat. As I said, I'd also take Harmon. The value doesn't seem to be there after that, and some could argue that the value isn't there for Harmon over Jeanty.

Frankly, I think this season showed that the devaluing of the running back that the Joneses were touting was a bunch of crap. Two of the best in free agency are helping their teams succeed. I don't think you can take any position for granted. If we have Jeanty as a top five player and the top DT available is 16 or 17, I'd take Jeanty in a heartbeat. You don't pass up good value.

I like Sampson after round one the Tenn back speed can catch out of the backfield out of the Pollard mode . Complement him with Dowdle who averaged well over 4 yards a carry and had 39 catches 1079 yards .

In round one if McMilian the WR is gone Jalon Walker the Edge / LB hybrid is a very nice consolation prize to wreck the play help Parsons Liufau and hopefully Kendrick’s . The defense needs a bulk of the 2025 draft help .

It was horrible . Zimmer needs to follow MM to other cities .

DT would be my first choice as well and waiting to see if recent picks pan out is reasonable though I would argue that should only be done if you're reasonably sure the picks will pan out and you're set for each position. Right now I'd say Guyton is 50-50 and Steele needs to be phased out, so OT is still a need, maybe Guyton goes back to RT.

GOODNESSS NOOOO

PLEASE NO

We need skill position players BADLY!!!! Like REAL BAD…..

I want Richards to get a shot at LT with Tyler Smith being the fallback. I'd move Guyton to RT to compete with Steele, and if they are at all even, I'd trade Steele for what I could get before next season.

I feel like we have multiple line options with the players we have.

Richards-Smith-Beebe-Hoffman-Guyton

Smith-Bass-Hoffman-Beebe-Steele

Richards-Smith-Beebe-Bass-Guyton

Guyton-Smith-Hoffman-Beebe-Steele

And that's without knowing if Nathan Thomas can play. Frankly, I'm also intrigued by Waletzko because I think they screwed him over with the shift to right tackle before he fully established he could play the left side. But he wouldn't stop me from drafting a lineman if it came down to that because his shoulders may never hold up to the wear and tear.

I'd be happier with a new OL coach too,,, could be that the OC Schotty has crap blocking schemes but it seems more like they're not coaching these guys up very well.

I won't disagree with you at all there. One of the good things about McCarthy leaving is that it likely means Solari and Schotty will, too. I think McCarthy is a smart offensive coach. He sometimes gets tunnel vision, though, and fails to get the most out of certain positions.

That being said, I thought Solari did a pretty nice job with several of the younger linemen, so I don't think he's a bad teacher. I do think his and Schotty's blocking schemes aren't very good, though, although we did seem to do better when they adjusted them some ... doing more of what they should have been doing from the start.

If I was 100% sure he was clear cut OT and he slid to us? I’d consider…but I actually thought Guyton had a few games where he looked solid and showed progression.

I’d just hate to draft him, move Guyton to RT, then figure out he’s a G and have to move Guyton back to LT. Complete development stopper.
