Count me amongst the longtime loyal Cowboy fans.

I live deep in the heart of Commander land. Which is also Philly land and the land of any team doing well while the skins have stunk it up in the past few years.

Which brings me to my point. Lose all the negative energy fellas. We will be okay. Its a long season. What, do you want to bring back Campo. How 'bout hiring Wannstedt (sp?). He's doing a bang up job at Pitt. Please

The team has some much young talent. It takes time. We have a great coach with a big ego. He's determined to keep his name alongside many other greats. This guy's hero is Vince Lombardi. We will be right where we need to be in December. Also, we will be in good shape for several years to come.

Oh, and Cowboys WIN!!! BIG! :)

I've been a cowboys fan since 1975 thru it all. We have a good team that appears is still searching for an Identity. Hope we find it soon.

True, loyal fans are there through thick and thin....good and bad.........1-15 or 13-3 and Super Bowl.............count me in as a "true" fan. We are on the right track, but there will be growing pains along the way. I do believe we will be 8-8 this year, but a very strong competitor next year.

GO COWBOYS!!!

I don't know that blind optimism is the measuring stick for how big of a Cowboys fan a person is.

I'll criticize coaches, players, etc. I'll debate personnel, strategy and scheme with just about anyone. I'll be negative about the team when it is justified.

However, come Sunday, I cheer for every player out there in a Cowboys uniform (even Tyson Walter when he was here). I think that is probably true of about anyone that takes the time to come here and talk Cowboys.

It isn't. Although some would love to convince you otherwise.

Correct. Which is why laundry-rooters confound me.

I am a huge fan here in Philly land, but i do not look thru rose colored glasses at every cowboy game. I give my honest opinion about what i think of games but that does not mean i am any less a fan if i think they are going to lose. I am here no matter what happens,i might get pissed and upset but hey it happens. All i am asking is for them to show some signs of improvement.

I'd say we are all ,with a few exceptions, passionate Cowboys fans. Some may lack long-term perspective and go emotionally overboard with each win and loss, but doesn't make them any less of a fan

Exactly. Call 'em like you see 'em and raise a question or two when its appropriate to do so. Absolutely nothing wrong with that.

Like you, I'd love nothing more than for this team to go 19-0 every year and I'll root 'til my dying breath for this club. Short of that, I have no problem with questioning operations from Bill Parcells down to Tony Bua, as I see fit to do so.

Good stuff, junk.

Well some people are constantly negative about everything Cowboys, and then give the Eagles all this love...

Everybody has their thing they think the Cowboys need to change. But what they really need is to get some experience on defense and intensity on offense. Blaming somebody different every weekend won't change that.

I am not sure why you call it being negative. None of us like being negative but the problem is some of try to be real. As for being true fans I would have to say anyone posting on this forum or any Cowboy forum is a true fan. Some of us are just unhappy with the way things are going and think this team is not being coached right. We think this team can be alot better with the exact players it has now.

Call some of us negative but those of us who are negative think this team can be much better then what we see. I almost never bash the players. I htink we have good players on this team. My prob is with the coaches everyone of them including Parcells.

It sure would be nice for just one game since Parcells has been here...just one game for it to look like the team actually prepared for who they are playing and looked like they actually practiced to.

Results bring the love.

I root for this team with a passion, year in, year out. Even being on a message board should be enough to demonstrate any fan's passion about this team (save the inordinate numbers of Commander and Eagle trolls that are allowed to exist here).

But that does not mean it should be a lovefest.

Everybody has their thing they think the Cowboys need to change. But what they really need is to get some experience on defense and intensity on offense. Blaming somebody different every weekend won't change that.

You put it rather primatively, but you have a quality point.

So beating phili in 2003, doesnt count. Stop being so cynical of the coach. Everything that happens isnt his fault.

No. It doesn't count. Not now. At one time, it did. Then.

Not everything is his fault. But there are some issues that must be laid at his feet. The man is not a teflon Don. He makes some serious mistakes. He's like most coaches in that regard. It doesn't take away from his legacy. Actually, it only makes him human.

No doubt. He makes mistakes, no coach is perfect, but that doesnt mean that we need to replace him.
