Be Encouraged

Come on.

Every QB is off target sometimes.

Romo was nothing short of pitiful but that throw was a freak accident and you had to be at least Surprised that it got picked.

No excuses for Romo tonight though. He was awful and better fix this quick but its year 4 now and it still isn't fixed.

my only beef with romo tonight is this.

There were 22 seconds left in the third quarter, Roy Williams was in the locker room getting an IV. Play action is called. Sam Hurd is out wade.

Romo clearly did not see the safety. I was sitting on that side of the field and when he threw it I didnt see the safety, he almost blended in with the endzone colors. In romos mind he is giving sam hurd a chance to make a play on the ball. Except he missed the safety, I am assuming.

I will never understand why you dont just continue to run the ball, go to the tv timeout and hope to get roy back on that drive and then take shots.

but he did and the secondary was absolutely roasted by eli manning.

Panthers do have an offense; its the Williams / Stewart combo. Don't underestimate.

Not only was it a freak accident, but the ball bounced into Phillips' hands like it was a magnet or something.

AND WHY THE HELL ARE WE STILL NOT RUNNING SCREENS.

I don't know which was worse.

The witten shoe kick or the Ratliff batted pass that somehow made the pass more accurate.

Or the Manningham td where it bounces off his hand and falls back into them.
They got all of the bounces tonight...

Cowboys look great against the teams in the past like the Rams, Seahawks, 49ers, etc. But what about against the top tier teams? They never win those at all for the most part.

Romo could've done some things to overcome a poorly played game but he didn't and once you factor in Scandricks woes + Felix's turnovers, + extremely poor luck, than there is nothing we could do.

It's just this team finding a new way to lose all the time. Im so sick of it.

my question is if Cowboys would have won...would you guys have been saying he can win the big game? or like always when we win its because of this or that........? we all know the second after we would have won it would have no longer been considered a BIG game.......because Romo has beaten these Giants 4 out of 6 times and somehow only the wons he loses are big games......i would hardly call being 1-0 second game of the season being BIG game....

yes we lost, yes Romo looked like the south end view of a north bound horse, yes it was bad but some of you are just bending situations to fit your agenda
Ican honestly tell you that if the Giants missed the FG and we won, I would still have the same feeling against Romo. I've seen all I need to see to know he doesn't have what it takes to lead us to a SB victory.

You need to go back and check. We've beat plenty of top tier teams.

You have every right to be down on this team tonight and you have every right to think they'll never overcome shooting themselves in the foot.

But have they beat good teams? Uh yeah.

Absolutely not. I have been advocating it is time for this guy to be held accountable.

He was pitiful in the Tampa game until after the half. His passes were off. Now another game where he seems to be in the area but not on target.

Further, the pass to Crayton into double coverage that Collinsworth called brilliant ignored thye fact that Witten crossed the face of the DB and was on a slant and near the first down marker.

Romo missed several players over the last two games who were open for another player that was far too covered.

The season is early. Although I think there are answers here that don't bode well for us already.

But this guy risks far too many times in a game where we should have just slobberknocked the Giants.

That lies at the feet of Romo.

Let's burn him! He's a witch!

How do you propose to hold him accountable, and how do you know he's not being held accountable?

Did they yank him after the second pick? The third?

McSoupySales in Philly seemed to get his mind right after that experience.

But let's not bring up the fact that our QB does this over and over in big games.

No, let's blame the defense when we have faced both Pitt and NY and had Romo give them the ball three times each. Then stayed in the game until the end when the D just couldn't muster the strength to overcome Tony Bledsoe's grand work.

The hardest part of being a Cowboy fan in all the years I have followed this team is the moment you realize they aren't good enough to realize your goals.

Now tell me this is just the second game and it will be Okay.

It's the same thing it's always been.

Tons of talent, but poor leadership at the top (Jerruh), poor coaching leading to a team that makes dumb penalties, a QB that throws stupid interceptions and a defends that folds at the worst possible times.

What, so Kitna could fumble the snap? Good idea.

Romo is who he is, which is a guy that usually sees the field well and gets it to the open receiver. When he's off or the other team has his number, maybe it makes sense to find another way to win rather than keep putting the load on his shoulders when he's struggling.

But no, we have to throw deep on first and ten from the Giants 46 with a 24-20 lead, even when we've already racked up 190 yards rushing.

Or....

Maybe Romo is not the answer.

Now that's scary, isn't it.

So where is Theebs when this blasphemy is being thrown down.

5...4...3...2...

Beating the Panthers is an even less accomplishment than beating the Bucs, especially with Jake at QB. whooping on a sorry panthers team doesnt change the fact that we are an average football team at best. of course i hope they win and will enjoy watching the game cause i love the cowboys but anyone that gets suckered into thinkin the cowboys are a legit contender again deserve the enormaus disappointment they will get late in the year.

What's the question?

You don't need Tom Brady to win in the NFL. It helps, but use what ya got. This team is good enough to win with Romo, even if he needs to be protected from himself from time to time. They showed that tonight.

Wishing for a different QB won't win games for Wade and co., so they best get to figuring out how to win when Romo struggles. So far they've shown an unwillingness to adjust.

No, you don't need Tom Brady, but you do need a QB who doesn't continually make the same mistakes over and over again and hurt his team like Romo does.

I swear guys that haven't had a post in months are coming out of the woodwork to gloat about this game. Weird.

Yeah. They certainly weren't here last week.

...yep!...the final stupid mistake
...now you've got it but no one forced Romo to throw deep...there were other "preferable" options, including throwing the ball away or even taking a sack for heavens sake...not the heave up on a prayer that he chose...this guy simply makes too many mistakes and until he makes better decisions with the ball, the team as a whole will suffer the consequences...very deflating to a defense what he does...
