Because can you imagine Mickey spagnola running this team? Did anyone hear talkin cowboys today?

He is out of control. He's against doing anything with miles or ware because of fear they might leave. And all he cares out is the dead money they will lose.

He totally disregards the 12 million they will get back on the cap. So frustrating listening to him. Just doesn't get it

Three Top Favorite Mickeyisms:

  1. If he's so good, then why is he available?
  2. You are so quick to get rid of him, who are you going to replace him with?
  3. Don't fix a problem if it means you are only going to create more potential problems.
Love the Mickeroo…

The guys on "Cowboys Break" make fun of him sometimes. Lately, I've heard them say a few times, "If Lebron James is so good, why was he a free agent?", which is an obvious shot at Mickey.

If they can find a way to keep Ware and Austin and stay under the cap without adjustments, more power to them. But, I fear it would make it more difficult to sign Dez, Tyron, and even Bailey long term.

Yes if you cut wares salary in half and miles takes a serious pay cut

I read the title of your post and was thinking to myself......

*Now how in the world is this very respectable poster going to spin this as I see nothing to be thankful for*

o_O

Lol.. I just listened and it's just so frustrating. I really hope he's not speaking the words of Stephen and Jerry.

I like hearing Bryan because he actually knows thing behind the scenes. Only reason I listen

Why would you want to keep them @ ALL considering they can't play? JJ justifying Ware to protect the poor investment was expected; but Miles too? That is too much. The money that could be used from Ware's contract (even dead money included) makes it ridiculous that we are talking pay cut, restructure, considering the egg he left on the field last year. He is done.

Lol those are great ones. Love how he was singing Sheldon Richardsons praises today, but last year he said he never makes big plays and disappears too often. Was totally against cowboys drafting him.

Dying to hear what he says if Garrett gets canned next season. Will all of a sudden say it was deserved

That can't happen this year with how far over the cap we are, whether Jerruh and co. would prefer to do nothing or not.

Jerry already said they were going to restructure Austin. Doesn't mean they'll really do it, but he said that a few weeks ago somewhere.

Did not hear it, but Spagnola is on Jones' payroll. He toes the company line.

Ware needs to take a pay cut but the thought he was terrible last year is just goofy.
He wasn't worth his enormous salary but he was more than a legitimate NFL starting DE.

Cutting him is a must he he refuses a pay cut but it's not ideal as it does create tons of dead money.

And the 7.5m we can get back is nice and all but again a stupid use of funds if leveraged for more poor contracts that put us right back in bad cap situations.
Especially since we can trim MORE than 7.5m off the cap and KEEP Ware.

Miles is actually done. He had a mere 24 catches and has over ever topped 70 once.
He was always overpaid. Perhaps the games best WR2 at his best.
He will be gone and designated a June 1st cut IMHO.

There is no reason to keep both of them. It's time to move on. Both are past their prime. If cutting both of them frees up money, used that for inexpensive/solid free agents.

6 sacks as the RE in a 4-3 are not good numbers and production that could be replicated by much cheaper options. We are always a year late instead of a year early...

If Mickey said it he got it from Jerry. He works for the Cowboys and tows the company line.
