The corners benefit from the strong pass rush of the Bears. They tend to be in position for tipped passes or passes that are way off target due to the pressure on the QB. Vasher also benefited from that in college as well. It takes some skill to be in the right position, but neither is what I would call a good man-to-man corner. If Dallas can keep the pressure off of Romo, their corners and safeties can be beat.

Like people have said, Vasher is small. I even think he is a little shorter than what is listed. Nate Jones of Dallas is listed at 5'-10" and 192 lbs.

I think Witten will be very important this game. Can the excellent Bear linebackers contain him?

From what I understand, Urlacher and Briggs are very good cover LBs.

Then that takes one of them out of the pass rush....

It not like you really had to worry about that with Urlacher anyway. He got his first sack in 2 years against the Chiefs on Sunday. Its not his job to rush the passer in that defense.

I respect the Bear defense and expect a tough game but I also think Dallas has some very good talent at WR, RB and TE and while you may be able to do things to limit the WR or one the other positions I don't think they can limit us at every skill position. I will say I like our chances if Chicago wants to play 1 on 1 with our WR. If they plan on using a safety on top I'll put Witten 1 on 1 with any of their LB. Lastly if Dallas can have some success running the ball then I think the Bears are in trouble.

Urlacher vs Witten would be a very interesting, tough match up.

Expect Garrett to attack the Bears with the TEs in the LB/CB seams on play-action passes and to the WRs in the CB/safety seams. As usually, JJ is going to really stink it up because the Bears are a very fast defense. For the Cowboys to run the ball, it will need to be up the gut with the big beefy offensive line and the power running of Barber. They (the offensive line) just cannot allow the Bears defensive line to shoot the gaps before exploding into them.
