Bears reportedly rolling out the red carpet for Mike McCarthy

The Chicago Bears are moving fairly quickly in their pursuit of former Dallas Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy. A few hours after he and the Cowboys parted ways on Monday, it was reported that McCarthy already had an interview set up with the Bears. On Tuesday, it was revealed that the Bears would be bringing McCarthy in for an in-person interview at Halas Hall, only their second in-person meeting of this coaching cycle. It seems like the meeting will go beyond just a normal interview, though.

According to Marc "Silvy" Silverman of the "Waddle & Silvy Show" on ESPN 1000, the Bears are set to take McCarthy out to dinner afterwards and have a sit-down meal at a local restaurant. "Word that I got is that the plan is that they're going to wine and dine him afterwards, and they have got a room set up to have one of these dinners with him," Silvy said during their show on Tuesday.
Sounds like McCarthy might get offered the job. I'll bet he takes it.

If they really want to seal the deal, that dinner for McCarthy better be a buffet. With lots of desserts.

I'm guessing they're taking him to Giordano's or Gibsons Steakhouse in Rosemont. Just a shame it's not during MFF lol. That'd be hilarious. Still, if it's Giordano's or Gibsons, he'll probably say yes lol.

Imagine making a coach/player feel important when courting them? I do hope he is honest about his resume though after all the gagagness over him

Ryan Poles former Chiefs exec became the Bears GM a few yrs ago . Poles must have still been in KC when Dallas on one its 12 win fruit basket seasons went to KC in a hyped matchup .

Well Dak went into his big game trance the Pokes were horrible on offense lost 19-9 . What in the world impresses the Bears GM so much that McCarthy is a must have ?

Upgrade at GM,,, yeah, but still not ideal,,, push
GB, Detroit, and Minnesota all in the same division with you….. check. McCarthy’s team looked great the last time they met Detroit and GB. He was so out coached in those games it was pathetic. Both put a 40 burger on him and it could have been worse. I hope he enjoys getting schooled by the other coaches in that division.

Minnesota won 14 games to round out the Bermuda Triangle . There are no NY Giants from the landfill in the NFC North
