The problem with Michael McCarthy was very simple - He was worried about people around him and he never had a tough football team - we are softer than flab.
Lastly MM had no accountability - his teams were league leaders in penalties every year.
And nobody ever paid a price.

It’s embarrassing when you’ve been the long time coach in GB and you haven’t won a game against your replacement LaFleur

Good for Mike...I hope he gets it.
Bears would be my second favorite team if he gets it. I like him. He got a raw deal here. If he’d been fired last year everyone would’ve understood after the Packers game. He actually built up good will by being set up to fail and still keeping the team competitive the last 2 months.

GB, Detroit, and Minnesota all in the same division with you….. check. McCarthy’s team looked great the last time they met Detroit and GB. He was so out coached in those games it was pathetic. Both put a 40 burger on him and it could have been worse. I hope he enjoys getting schooled by the other coaches in that division.
Chicago has a significantly better defense than the Cowboys. If McCarthy, or whomever they select as HC shores up that offense even just a little the Bears will win more games than Dallas next season, even in that division.

How do you know it's embarrassing? That's what on wondering about? Just asking, thought maybe you had gone through something like that....

In his first game back to Lambeau a whole segment was done on how he wore the same type coat Curley Lambeau wore to enter the stadiuim and after being fired mid season after over a decade of service yes he wanted that one badly . The players wanted it for him . Of course they lost in OT .

Then in the playoffs let’s not relive that horror against Lafleur abd co . You seem to hold MM in high esteem . I think he was a big game failure and I as a Cowboy fan want more then contend for what was a weak division yr after yr and no playoff success . It’s your right to like him it’s my opinion of the opposite that’s all .

That’s a stark difference than Jerry rolling MM in a carpet and dumping his body at White Rock Lake.

JG was the same . Contract ran out good bye .No dark clouds over Mia’s and the Enchilada platter with Jones & Jimmy pics at the table chowing down on good Tex Mex and a Cerveza or two talking contract .

I wonder if he’ll get to have a sleepover! Lol
I could see one of Big Mike's contract stipulations with the Bears could be drone food drops on the sideline during home and away games. I swear during TV closeups of McCarthy on the sidelines he often was looking at a restaurant menu instead of his play-call sheet.
