Bears rolling out red carpet for Mike

McCarthy and Ben Johnson would be my top two picks if I'm Chicago. Johnson the high risk/high reward guy, McCarthy the more experienced safer option to get that franchise back on track. Given they route they went on the last couple of coaching hires I can see why the experienced guy might be the preferred option.

Bears would be my second favorite team if he gets it. I like him. He got a raw deal here. If he’d been fired last year everyone would’ve understood after the Packers game. He actually built up good will by being set up to fail and still keeping the team competitive the last 2 months.
AS much as I am a huge Cowboys fan, I honestly hop the next time we play (whoever Mike McCarthy goes to), I hope MM sticks it to us.... It's not his fault our clown of a GM and Chuckles didn't do anything in the off season to make us even competitive...

Oh yeah well i bet the Bear’s owners don’t have their own netflix documentary coming out on themselves like our owner !

Take that !

In his first game back to Lambeau a whole segment was done on how he wore the same type coat Curley Lambeau wore to enter the stadiuim and after being fired mid season after over a decade of service yes he wanted that one badly . The players wanted it for him . Of course they lost in OT .

Then in the playoffs let’s not relive that horror against Lafleur abd co . You seem to hold MM in high esteem . I think he was a big game failure and I as a Cowboy fan want more then contend for what was a weak division yr after yr and no playoff success . It’s your right to like him it’s my opinion of the opposite that’s all .
I was just wondering. I never coached against a former team, I was just wondering...sounded like, maybe you had.

The Bears are smart to pursue a HC who will develop their young QB. McCarthy is a good fit for them. I bet he rolls over the Cowboys the next time they meet.

Ryan Poles former Chiefs exec became the Bears GM a few yrs ago . Poles must have still been in KC when Dallas on one its 12 win fruit basket seasons went to KC in a hyped matchup .

Well Dak went into his big game trance the Pokes were horrible on offense lost 19-9 . What in the world impresses the Bears GM so much that McCarthy is a must have ?

That we scored 9 points even with a QB who had the ...Deer in the headlights look.

McCarthy will have a job before the Cowboys figure out a coach - though Jerry should just do it.

Funny no one would hire him years ago…goes to the Cowboys....accomplishes even LESS then he did in GB....and now he gets a "red carpet"...well played Mike lol.

The Chicago Bears are moving fairly quickly in their pursuit of former Dallas Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy. A few hours after he and the Cowboys parted ways on Monday, it was reported that McCarthy already had an interview set up with the Bears. On Tuesday, it was revealed that the Bears would be bringing McCarthy in for an in-person interview at Halas Hall, only their second in-person meeting of this coaching cycle. It seems like the meeting will go beyond just a normal interview, though.

Bears vs. Cowboys, 2025. Give them hell Big Mike.

Upgrade at QB,,, check
Upgrade on defense,,, check
Upgrade at RB,,, check
Upgrade at GM,,, yeah, but still not ideal,,, push
Not on defense, and QB remains to be seen. Advantage on QB salary though, for sure.
