Bears signed Robbie Gould to 4 year/15 mill deal, with up to 9 of it guaranteed. Sets a high bar for resigning Bailey.

Hold your noses.

I wouldn't resign Bailey. I want a complete rebuild and flushing of the salary cap. I'm not resigning a kicker to that kind of deal.

Way more than I would ever spend on a kicker, even a very good one like Bailey.

bailey is good, but if you look around the league there are lots of good kickers these days. i think they paid gould b/c he's learned how to kick in the chicago weather.

Well, as nice as it is to have someone dependable, that is an awful lot to pay a kicker.

He'll probably end up on another team kicking game winning fg's. Not sure what you do though. You don't want to over pay. Not that the Cowboys have EVER done that. Haha.

wow

I know Gould is a very good bad weather kicker-- a must in Chi-town--but that is awfully big money for the position.

Good thing you're not the GM. Our Backup QB starting on Sunday would be Larry Warford.

Jerry wont be out done, He will make it rain on Bailey.

I actually don't think he will. He won't subscribe to my rebuild idea but he doesn't like paying kickers. I'd be surprised if Bailey isn't playing his last year in Dallas in 2014.

Pay him.
Last thing you want to see as the clock expires is a football coming off the foot of a guy who would play for the least amount of money.
