Beasley deep routes

Funny you should say that, in game 1 on the final drive dak missed a wide open Beasley which would have won the game.

and in 2014 we ran the exact play and Beasley was open on that also and romo climbed the pocket and tried to throw it to him when he was hit from behind.

Maybe this is the game they finally hit that, shotgun 11 personnel with Beasley in the left slot.

I would hope they have experimented with many routes and formations that we never see in the games. If you can't hit it consistently in practice then it doesn't make it into the real games.

I've always wanted a trick play where Dez gets to sling the ball downfield. I've seen his arm and it's very strong. My guess is it must be something that when attempted in practices it just didn't work. I can't imagine we are thinking up crap that pro coaches haven't already thought....unless it's too stupid to think like my idea with Dez throwing the fricken ball.....

Good point.

Cole could get deep...then dish some sauce to get open.
One thing, b/c of his height, the passes would have to be accurate. He's got leaping ability but getting the ball over the defender would be key to ensure he isn't outleaped by a 5'10 Jenoris Jenkins or 6'1 Eli Apple or 6'2 DRC

But I Think he's got the speed to get some space between himself and the DB... it'd be all on the pass getting there.

We need a big body that is a threat down the seams.

I really want a TE for this offense that is more athletic and can stretch the field out.

I feel like it would help the entire offense having a guy that can set the edge in the run game and get up the seam in the pass game.

Vince Mayle.

I don't know, if he got a step or 2 on a corner and safety 40 yards down field Dak might not see him behind those guys...

The only deep route that you could get Beasley on with a good percentage is the post route, but a regular go route/fly route no way he would not be seen by the QB if the defender is right behind him or he would not have separation, as someone said in an earlier post he is more quick than fast

Yeah...I'm thinking of deep out patterns or stop n' go...a way to leverage his quickness and elite cutting/jukes. He isn't beating anyone deep w/straight line speed nor is he going to out-leap someone.

Let him work the sauce deep in the meal.

I think they can't see him over the crown in the field. There is a reason my son and I call him the "Smurf".
