No doubt he can be a big player this year, which is why I'm waiting for him to get injured. Every one of his preseason touches will start with a cringe for me

You sound like me. I cringe every time I see him run with the ball.

The biggest danger to Cole Beasley might be practicing in the slot against Orlando "The Crippler" Scandrick.

There finally seems to be very little of the "Beasley won't make the team" stuff around here. Now maybe we can lay off Harris too who is the best STer in the league.

Having tape and being able to defend against someone are two completely different things. How many teams have had tape on Wes Welker? Doesn't stop him from dominating.

What's more difficult is when you are a defensive coordinator already have to compensate your game plan for Dez Bryant and Jason Witten. Now you have to compensate for DeMarco Murray, and Cole Beasley, and maybe even Williams and Escobar? That's a potential nightmare, especially if the offensive line is as good as what we hope it could be.

Barring injury this Offense should dominate, especially if Zach plays as well as Fred did last year. I am more worried about LB, Safety and the whole DL.

Or he's referring to Devin Street?

That seems to be a lot more likely, since that's pretty clearly what he asked, then if he's asking what the word on the street is.

I'm actually beginning to think this defensive line will be head over shoulders better than last year. I think we have a lot more pieces to the puzzle, instead of relying on a couple injury prone players.

A lot of reason to be excited about nearly all 8 players who should make this defensive line, and more actually

DeMarcus Lawrence
Jeremy Mincey

Henry Melton
Amobi Akoye
Tyrone Crawford
Ben Bass

Terrell McClain
Davon Coleman
Ken Bishop

Anthony Spencer
George Selvie
Ben Gardner

There's a lot of competition out there.

beasley just gets open and catches the ball. but as to him being a much bigger part of the offense, i don't think he will. think about this, we want to run more, we want dez to get more touches, we want escobar to get more touches, we want to use dunbar out of the backfiled. in reality, all those thing are'nt gonna happen. the more you run, the less you pass. the more guys you get involved the less total numbers each will get. there are only so many balls to go around
it's going to be interesting to see just how this shakes out but you can't rally increase more guys touches without someones touches going down

Not necessarily. Guys like Beasley and Witten keep drives alive giving the offense more opportunity to spread the ball around. Plus I think Beasley can get the same amount of catches he had last season plus what miles Austin had which would bring him to around 60 for the season. If he continues to be a first down machine everybody else will get plenty of touches also.

Harris might bump a DB off the roster due to his KO/PC tackling ability. I think he could be th Dave meggett/Kenny gant combo if given the chance.
