The Cowboys need to figure out how to do it.

Every team has defended us the exact same way. They keep 2 safeties deep and try to keep everything in front of them and make Dallas drive the field.

So far it doesn't look like anyone can figure out how to expose this and it's been a weakness around here for awhile.

If i'm Jerry Jones and my current offensive coaches can't figure it out then I would bring in someone from the outside to help with this because right now it's the blueprint to beat this team.

BTW, we have finally neutered Romo and got the QB you guys wanted. No risk taking, not much buying time in the pocket, and careful with the football. I hope everyone who wanted this is happy.

We had a Brett Favre type and now we're stuck with Alex Smith.

He'll probably finish with 24TD's and 5 INT's at this rate.

Unfortunately whenever the cowboys look like driving the field, there's a holding penalty...

Yep. Also, for whatever reason we have suddenly turned into a horrible RAC team. Witten is guaranteed to go down within a foot of where he caught it, Austin was not getting it done when he was out there, and even Dez has not been outright breaking as many tackles like he used to (although let me say I am HAPPY when Dez goes down without fighting like a madman). I actually thought Williams looked kinda shifty out there with his spins and moves out there when he wasn't fumbling the ball into the endzone. Need to see even more of Harris and Beasley because of this.

The way teams defend us tells me everything I need to know about what they think of The Cowboys offense.

They know we can make the big play. They sale out trying to stop it and make us try to be patient and drive the field.

It's killing this entire franchise right now.

If the personnel on this team is what it's supposed to be, and the QB has the brain and accuracy that everyone says he has, this shouldn't be that tough.

You run some drags, you run some curls, you create some mismatches with your supposedly elite group of TE's (since both safeties are playing so deep...), you get the ball in Dunbar's hands and use his speed a bit (MIA again today, I think he touched the ball once)

As Goose and Moose repeatedly mentioned today, Romo was taking way, way too long getting the ball out. Whether that was design or just Romo, I don't know. But there has to be something weird going on there.

I think a good example of what you do was Bryant's second TD. San Diego actually defenced that play almost perfectly, so if we could pull that play off in that situation, I don't see why we can't do it more often.

FWIW, at his current pace Romo would throw for 32 TDs which would be his 2nd highest total.

It's not like Tony normally throws for a whole bunch more than 24 TDs anyway. He's broken the 30 mark 2 times. Last year 28 but he had 19 INTs.

5 less TDs in exchange for 15 less INTs.
