Look around the league, 80 percent of backs are being stuffed.

Martin,Dillion, Mcallister[even though he had a nice one today], Portis, Jackson, kJones, Lewis, etc,etc

Its more of a trend as defenses seem to be getting the upperhand on the run. Another thing you have to take in account is the degree of difficulty it is to run on the road. Three out of four on the road is no easy task, espically west coast swings. Wait until mid season when the schedule lightens up a bit and we get more home games.

average or below O-Line production, not passing enough, & running too much up the gut and not enough around the edge = poor JJ production

plain and simple.

I agree. I still think after the Philly game Julius will take off. 1400-1500 yards and 10 tds when its all said and done.

Considering that he's on pace for 1,340 yards and 12 touchdowns right now, that's hardly a stretch. I'd imagine some people here would even call 1,400 yards and 10 touchdowns a failure.

Some RB's are struggling, but the best RB's are still getting their yards and at an impressive yards per carry to boot. Julius is getting his yards, but his ypc is very subpar. Obviously, there is plenty of blame to go around for the struggles of the running game. But, 3.5 ypc for Julius thru 4 games is terrible, regardless of how many yards he is on pace to run for this season.

Top 10 Rushers

4) James: 98-414 (4.2 ypc)
5) Dunn: 70-394 (5.6 ypc)
6) R. Johnson: 92-388 (4.2 ypc)
7) McGahee: 78-375 (4.8 ypc)
8) J. Jones: 96-335 (3.5 ypc)
9) Barber: 74-333 (4.5 ypc)

Yeah, if you ignore his 3.5 per carry. Our running game isn't effective at all right now. It was the big difference in the game yesterday. The blocking HAS to improve and JJ doesn't seem 100% to me.

If it takes him 400 carries to get those 1,400 yards and 10 touchdowns, then put me in that crowd.
