before the final cuts happen

I'm kind a hoping Davis doesn't make the team. Nothing against Keith, but I really want to see Watkins patrolling CF. It's awful, I realize....but I see him as someone who has a low ceiling and has already reached it.
If that's an awful thought, I'm just as guilty as you thinking about it.

Oh, and I don't want to see Green cut. He was pretty electric from what I saw of him during his tenure at LSU.

He has ability, but I just think he's too concerned about messing up. He just needs one big return and I think you'll see a different player. I think it's a confidence thing w/ him and not ability. JMO.

Thompson has loads of experience--a whole season, in fact, but he hasn't demonstrated any real eluviseness in his returns. He's too much of a straight line runner, which isn't a strength in the return game.
If Tyson Thompson started running in a straight line from the goalline on an open field and you laid down in his path, he would trip over you. It might hurt when he kicks you, but you'd make the tackle.

I bet he has no probem with field sobriety tests.

1. Lousaka Polite. Can't help it. Love the kid.

2. Junior Glymph. At least the practice squad.

3. Abram Elam. It would have been Beriault. C'est la vie.

4. Montavious Stanley. If for no other reason than his interviews.

5. Skyler Green. We need a return specialist. I want him to earn it.

I pulling for Fabini. If Flo or Colombo go down he's the best option.

Of the young WRs, I agree that Hurd has already made it, and I feel that Rector is also on the verge of making it, especially after Parcells has said how hard he worked during the off season, etc.. I don't feel that Copper has done enough to warrant a roster spot, and even though Green was a good return man in college, he hasn't shown much in terms of elusiveness, and in particular, his speed - to justify a spot, IMO. Considering that we aren't exactly overwhelmed with return options at this point, I would love nothing more than to see Green show us all what he can do. Green's speed, or lack thereof, is something that surprises me. Hopefully, Green will make some big contribution(s) soon so that I will be forced to eat some crow, however...until he actually shows us that he is capable of doing that at the NFL level as either a WR, or return guy, I'll continue to remain skeptical of him.

I believe Hoyte has more potential than Fowler, and if it comes down to one of them making it, I would prefer to see Hoyte make the squad over Fowler.

It's going to happen simply because I don't want it to.

I am pulling for Skylar Green and hope he makes the team because I see potential there. But not at the expense of a better, more needed player.

I am hoping T.O. gets cut.

I'm screwed.

I am pulling for both Ryan and Curtis. Pretty shallow reasons - Sean because he went to BC, Tony because he's flat out hot.

But I think both tes are going to be fine contributors down the road. Somewhere.

I am also pulling for both Rector and Hurd.

That one should work out better - looks like both will make it.

There are no bubble players on D this year who caught my fancy.
wait a minute.

you can't cheer for a guy because you've got the hots for him.
That goes against all that is right and true in football fandom.

That's like me cheering for Katherine McPhee on Amearican Idol because I love her.
Which I did. And I do. :p:

Pulling for Sam Hurd. Everyone focuses on the negative with TO but the way he helped this kid was something special.

Polite. He's a better blocker than Fasano which ain't saying much. I'll take the lesser of 2 evils.

Skyler. I'm in agreement with the kid needs to break a big one, and it's coming, he'll settle in. Plus he's got a great "return man" name. :)

Elam. Kids a hunter. He's gonna be a good one somewhere.

Hell, this year we got a lot of keepers.
