Cowboys are 5-1. Commanders are 1-5.

Cowboys just *****ed the best team in the NFL. The UNDISPUTED best team. On their home turf. Un****ingbelivable man.

Without Ware, Hatcher, or Miles Austin. Huge losses from last year as a Skins fan I thought would sting much more.

It makes no logical sense, other than going to a more power run game on offense. On paper the Dallas defense should still be a joke.

Argh. My Monday sucks. But I know Cowboy fans have suffered most of the last 20 year the same way we have, and now we are all alone, in the cellar, with little to no hope for change, yet again.

Will we ever reach the promised land again in our lifetime? At this point it seems Dallas is MUCH closer than we are. Will be interesting to see who wins between Eagles and Cowboys for NFC East supremacy this year.

My Commanders are out of it, AGAIN. In mid October :( But congratulations

Austin wasn't a loss. He had no role here and couldn't stay healthy. He has been declining for years now.

As for our D. We get BCarter back next game, our 2nd best linebacker. Our starters with him in the lineup, all 3 are very good. Carter, McClain, Durant. Prob the best we've had at linebacker in quite awhile (McClain is prob playing better than Sean Lee, who was our best MLB). Our DLine is getting healthy. Our corners are playing lights out. Our safeties are also playing well.

Jerry Jones is looking like a genius now for not firing Garrett.
I can't stand Rowdy, but you should really consider changing your avatar. Having a Washington fan use him for an avatar is distasteful, even for him.

It's the default image for no avatar I thought.

There are lots of fans who would tell you that none of those were as big of a loss as people wanted to believe and that the defense would be able to turn it around, at least to some extent, regardless of losing those guys.

I'm one of them.

5-1 surprises me but none of the progress this team has made does. Anybody who really pays close attention should be able to tell you the same thing.

Miles wasn't a loss because he simply could not get on the field. And when he did, he noticeably lost a step. By the time we released Miles, Williams stepped in and was a much better threat who could get on the field and Dez was our #1 WR.

Ware shows the issue with signing 30+ year old position players. Plus, he was more made for the 3-4 and I think the 4-3 is a better defense in today's pass happy and read-option league than the 3-4. Hatcher was tough to see go, but again...he's in his 30's so re-signing him to a big contract like Washington did would likely mean just more of the same.

It's funny how many people ignore how many injuries we've had on defense the past three years. I blame that partly on throwing the ball all over the place. You need to run the ball, eat up some clock and keep your defense off the field so they don't get injured. But, with a much healthier defense we don't have to have Brandon Carr playing safety, we don't have Jeff Heath playing safety, we don't have guys off the street playing LB and the D-Line may not be that talented (although Crawford is healthy and is a beast at DT), at least there is some continuity and they can play week-in and week-out and just get better with more playing time.

This probably should have been a lesson fans learned long ago, but if your strength of your team is really good and the team uses it properly, it can certainly cover up your weaknesses.

Very classy move. I know people bag on the Skins fans here a lot but this forum is actually pretty lucky. We have a few pretty level headed, quality, skins fans that are good folks to talk with on here.
