Maybe it is me still being grumpy over the loss but I know I can't be the only one who is already tired of the catch/noncatch refs decision threads.

I moving toward that isn't even the issue long term..............its the loss of the On-Field referee's judgement on the play.....It cannot be replaced with just another opinion, that wasn't the intent of the NFL replay system. Giving that kind of power to a faceless remote person opens up a entire diff. can of worms and nothing but bad can come of that for the NFL

I agree however, it was ruled a fumble on the field, but overturned upon review. Mr Blandino..... ?

Refs aren't monolithic, nor do they call all plays the same. It's a judgment call. Some refs will have seen that same play and their first call would have been incomplete. Some would have seen it and called it a catch.

I think the Cribb fumble was the right call upon replay review.

Interesting. According to the RULEZ that Pereira, Blandino, etc seem to tout so much, I would think that would not be a completed catch, the punt returner had touched the ball, and the ball is now free, which would be a fumble. Are they arguing that Cribbs made a football move?

These guys are just CYA ing at this point.

They know that the players would count the multiple things Dez did as a catch, and at worst a catch/ fumble he recovered himself.

Fair enough, do you feel Dez's play was adjudicated fairly and consistently with the above in mind considering Blandino had his fingers in both pies?

I thought it was a catch. However, I can see why they called it incomplete. But I'm kind of tired of talking about that play. It's not going to change anything.
