Now this is a post I can agree with.
I can do without the nitpickers that switch and complain about every little thing.

Lack of effort is what makes me negative failing to prepare is preparing to fail in my opinion.

This year I'm excited and I'm positive we have made improvements in our defense effort has been made and I'm sure everyone will see a difference and there will be a lot of positive commentary.

There needs to be effort made every year to keep a positive atmosphere.

Conversely if CD lamb drops a whole bunch of balls against the eagles and here's footsteps again this year I will be as critical and negative as they come.

Right here is the root of your problem. There is not one single fact in the OP. You mistake opinions you agree with as facts.

Your absolute insistence that your opinion overrides everyone else's opinion and justifies your personal attacks does nothing more than put the dog on high alert and in a defensive posturing position.

Then you somehow are able to twist that into justification to assume a victim mentality.

Some people walk the dog. Some people are walked by the dog.

The Dallas Cowboys ARE a paper tiger. 30 plus years of ineptitude. That's a fact.

Hence being negative is being REALISTIC. Being positive is being UNREALISTIC.

If you want this to change Dallas needs to break the streak of ineptitude.

It's pretty simple.

Very true brother he is a narcissist for sure.
His lack of a conscience for his fan base for such an extended period of time is just difficult to deal with.

You would think that at some point the light would come on and he would throw us some kind of a bone.

Since there's absolutely no accountability he continues on in the same manner unfortunately he can't be voted out and we are just left to endure hoping to win by attrition.

I disagree with this because it creates a false choice between being positive and being negative. You can be realistic without being miserable.

Being critical of the Cowboys isn't "pre-pain"—it's a response to nearly three decades of results. Fans have watched talented rosters fall short year after year, so skepticism isn't irrational; it's evidence-based.

Hope doesn't require ignoring history. In fact, expecting the organization to prove it can consistently succeed before buying in is a reasonable standard. Blind optimism can be just as unhealthy as constant negativity because it can lead to lowering expectations and accepting mediocrity.

You also assume negative fans don't enjoy wins, but many do. In fact, when expectations are low, victories can be even sweeter because they're earned rather than assumed. Likewise, optimistic fans often experience greater disappointment when the team inevitably falls short of lofty expectations.

Finally, being a fan doesn't mean you owe the team unwavering positivity. Fans invest their time, money, and emotions into the Cowboys. They've earned the right to criticize an organization that hasn't reached an NFC Championship Game in decades. Holding the team accountable isn't bitterness—it's wanting the franchise to meet the standard it has set for itself.

Optimism has its place, but so does healthy skepticism. Neither mindset makes someone a better or worse fan.

Oh there are definitely pros and cons of all technological advancements. They will make are lives easier while also depriving our mental and physical capabilities...At the end of the day it is the advancements are inevitable so you have to learn to make the most of them, while losing your capabilities along the way. Those who want to improve themselves intellectually and physically will continue to do so irregardless, those who don't will most continue to decline whether the technology is there or not.

As for as the optimism vs pessimisim I think its healthy to have a little bit of both and not heavily index on one over the other.

I'm positively stupid.

In 1992 I place a $100 bet at 15-1 odds for the Cowboys to win the Super Bowl. I won $1,500 and met Charles Haley (and played blackjack with him).

1993 I won again, only 3.5-1 odds, so I won $350.

1995 I won again, I think 5-1 odds, $500

1996 to about 2019 I made that same bet every summer. Positive I would win again. I won nada, zilch, scratch.

I'm thinking about placing the bet again this year, what do you think?
