The first 3 SB's were defensive battles
The rams SB was also a defensive battle

If Tom didn't have BB he wouldn't have won either

Just admit that both are legendary... jeez
Then explain 2 things, why has Bill been a losing head coach in games with Brady but Brady won a Super Bowl with Belichick.

Belichick coached Cleveland for 5 seasons with a winning record.

Several dozen coaches have been able to manage a winning record with several QBs but, not the GOAT Belichick?

That's any Head Coach, take away their star QB and they're not much
Except for: Halas, Lambeau, Landry, Eubanks, Shula, Gibbs, Knoll, Cowher, Flores, Dungy, Reid, Vermeil, Harbaugh, and dozens of other coaches that have a winning record with multiple QBs.

Do a little research and you will see what fraud Belichick really is.

How did Tom win a sb with the #1 bucs defense that barely even let Pat/kelce/hill the greatest qb since Tom score any points

How did Tom manage to keep the Rams to 3 points the most explosive offense that year under a genius offensive coach

How did bill win his first two sbs with an inexperienced qb

How did Adam vinatieri kick those field goals to win those first two sb

Why is bill considered the best defensive mind in the history of the nfl

How did bill stop the #1 rushing offense and Thurman Thomas in Super Bowl 25

How has bill been able to be the hc for 20+ years and coaching in the nfl for 40+ years

How did Tom manage the free agency and team building that helped those pats teams with beautifully constructed rosters at good prices while keeping the cap low

Bill Belichick is the single most overrated coach in all of sport.

He has coached 155 games without Tom Brady at QB winning 75 & losing 80 for a winning percentage of .484

155 Games is a pretty substantial sample size and without Brady, Belichick .484 winning percentage is not among the top 150 coaches All-Time.

Tom Brady is the GOAT but, Belichick is nothing more than a coattail rider.
And couldnt stop eli manning and Nick Foles in the SB

9 SB appearances in a 17 year span, winning 6 and losing the other 3 by a hair. 3 rings in 4 years from '02 to '05, then 3 more rings in 5 years from '15 to '19. Back to back 17-2 seasons in 04-05, and 18-0 a couple of years later before losing the SB to the Giants. Made the playoffs every year in that span except '03 (missed on a tiebreaker) and '08 (Brady's injury year, went 11-5 and missed on a tiebreaker). Reached the AFC Championship game 12x in 17 years. Completely turned over the roster several times in that span, competitive every year. They were the best team in about 12 of those 17 years, and were the favorites to win the SB most of those years. Will become the all time winningest coach in league history next year. All during the salary cap era, designed to not allow that.

It's because Bill sucks. Haven't you been reading Clarks posts? (sarcasm)

Poster is belittling those who disagree with him.

He had Kosar who led Cleveland to 3 AFC Championship games and Vinny Testaverde in Cleveland. He also had Drew Bledsoe in NE and still managed a losing record with them at the helm.

Take a minute and check out an NFL history book and you will find dozens of coaches that have won more with less than Belichick.
Yes, he took over a terrible Cleveland team and got them back to the playoffs (AFTER getting rid of Kosar who was at the end of his career). And Vinny who was never much of anything outside of one good year with the Jets.
Then the team quit when they decided to leave Cleveland.

Then Bledsoe was at the tail end of his career and he was never all that good to begin with (mid 70's to low 80's passer rating).

Not exactly murderer's row there.

He also had the likes of Matt Cassell, a washed up Cam Newton, and
It is important to look at history, I agree.

So, with has beens and jags at QB, he's about a .500 coach, which is not bad at all.

With a great QB, he's close to being the winningest coach of all time and has the most championships.

First, the Browns had been in their 3rd in a four year period, AFC Championship just 2 years prior to Genius Belichick taking over Pre-Free Agency so, to call them terrible is ignorant or disingenuous.
Joe Gibbs won three Super Bowls with Joe Theismann, Doug Williams and Mark Rypien. Not exactly the elite of QB's.
Don Shula went to a Super Bowl with Earl Morrall and David Woodley.
Bill Parcells won with Jeff Hostetler.
Brian Billick won with Trent Dilfer
Doug Pederson won with Nick Foles
There dozens of coaches that did more with less than Belichick.
Belichick can't even muster a .500 winning percentage without Brady so, if you want to kiss his ring go ahead.

Belichick was the head coach for Cleveland from '91-'95 and coached has coached the Patriots for 84 games without Brady and has a losing record.

Tom Landry, Don Shula, Chuck Knoll, Joe Gibbs, Andy Reid, Jim Harbaugh and many others have won with several different QB's so explain the Great Belichick's inability to do likewise?
He's a great coach but has some serious flaws as a GM. Listen to former players (Edelman, Gronk, etc.) And they talk about how he prepared them compared to other coaches. The guy is obviously a great coach.

Yet, take Brady away and he can't even muster a .500 in the other 155 games he coached.

Don't forget that Belichick even had to cheat with Brady.

And before you say "everybody does it" save your effort because not everyone does cheat. All you have to do is examine how he was caught, by former coaches and players.

Every other team loses coaches and players yet, no reports of prior employer cheating.

As for the Patriot's great record, keep in mind the best QB in the division for the entire run of Brady was Chad Pennington so spare me their sparkling record.

When you factor in that the Patriots also got to play the 3rd & 4th best teams in a division in both Conferences every year which all but guaranteed the Patriots a minimum of 10 wins a year. The Patriots still had to cheat win.

You don't get to cheat me and then brag about how great you were.

First, the Chiefs were missing both starting OTs in that Super Bowl.

Secondly, Brady didn't have to take risks so, being the brains of the outfit, he just played to his defense.

I think the rest of the list can be covered in 1 word.....Cheating.

The man got in trouble when he coached Cleveland for cheating and the next game he coaches without cheating will be his first.

Before, you start with the everyone cheats nonsense, how he was caught proves that the other teams don't.

Before, you say well if the Jets did cheated nobody would care, and you're right. Because the Jets never won anything. In Las Vegas if you cheat and lose nobody cares but, if you win, a man with the middle name "The" will be paying
you a visit.

You don't get to cheat me and then brag about your accomplishments.

He's a serial cheater and has a losing record without Brady. Former players may give him the praise but, I noticed he must not be able to prepare players sans Brady.

Cherry picking small sample sizes is ignorant and disingenuous. It's certainly not the norm - especially where you use a single game as an example. And also especially with older eras were the passing game wasn't nearly as prominent as it is today. Understanding history is just as important as knowing it.

The Browns were 3-13 with a -234 point differential prior to Belichick taking over. That is very very very bad. Talking about AFC Championships (when they were only 9-6-1, not some juggernaut) prior to that is also disingenuous. Only in 1986, five years prior to Belichick, did they have a somewhat dominant record (12-4).

The Pats were on a downward trend when he took over. Let's not pretend like Brady was some phenom at QB the first years they won Superbowls either. He was still young, and far from great (He didn't even have a YPA over 7 until 2004). But since we're using single game as evidence. We can also say he won the AFC Championship with Bledsoe, right?

The year before Belichick arrived in Cleveland they had a slew of injuries and one of the worst head coaches in NFL history, Bud Carson.

His winning percentage without Brady is .484 in 155 games which is a large enough sample size and trying to defend it is inane.

Keep in mind the first 3 Super Bowls were his best cheating years and they won 5 of the 9 postseason games by 3 points.

Brady might not have been the main driving force in the first 3 Championships but, he was smart and didn't lose games that Belichick cheated to win.

Besides, you would think he could muster a .500 record with about anyone at QB.

You know, with him being the GOAT and all.

I never said he wasn't a good coach, especially defensively, but he's not in the top 50 All-Time when you factor in everything.

He's not even the best Patriots coach of All-Time.

Anyone you choose to put above him will have built much of their success with a very good QB.

Only a fool would say ANY coach, no matter how great, could *consistently* win with below avg qb play.

Really, because without Brady these are the coaches with Belichick in winning percentage.

Lovie Smith .479, Norv Turner .483, Dave Wannstedt .485, Rex Ryan .480, Joe Walton .482, Sam Ritigliano .485 etc.

Now lets look at the Coaches with better winning percentage without a great QB or even a really good QB

Chuck Knox .558, Jeff Fisher .512, Joe Gibbs .621, Mike Ditka .560, Dennis Green .546, John Robinson .524, Bobby Ross .540, Mike Zimmer .562, Kyle Shanahan .545, etc.

I'm never going to convince you because you're a Belichick sycophant.
