Tell me. What is it exactly that you are putting on the line with your proclamations of BELIEF.

In other words... if inspite of your proclamations of BELIEF the team loses how are you affected in a way that makes you braver then those who might HOPE but not necessarily BELIEVE.

Are you putting your house on the line? Anything of real significant value?

If not then you are no better then the hopers.

Put up or shut up.

Anyone else see the irony of all this huffing and puffing of BELIEVE with nothing to back it up?

This is just a weird post. You expect people to put their house on the line over a football team? Or you can't grok the difference between being supportive and acting hopeless? It's not belief if there's not some nasty consequence in being wrong?

Exactly, you can be negative and still be a fan.

Most of you guys act like fishwives who love their husband but can't for the life of you actually be supportive of them. You choose to harangue and ***** and scream and throw fits. You don't particularly care if what you're *****ing about is accurate, you just want to ***** because you feel wronged and are disappointed. This doesn't mean that you don't love your husband, it just means you're not pulling your weight in the marriage. And if you need a reason to be supportive, then, well, you're support's really not worth anything anyway.

And for those of you who have a problem differentiating between valid criticism and uncritical, poorly reasoned carping and the kind of manipulative coverage that passes for Dallas-area journalism, well, there's no hope for you. If you could just learn to moderate your expectations to begin with, and to restrict your criticism to valid issues, there's plenty of middle ground to be had. Unfortunately, too many of you can't find your middle ground with two hands.
