Dallas cowboys Olineman dropped 41lbs for camp. He maybe just a backup or PS guy, but kudos on the effort! Go cowboys and yes it's a long offseason

Practice squad???? Bell has been in the league and played in 78 games and started 72 games for two teams(Tennessee and Carolina) since 2011

Bell's a dark horse to be the starting LG this year. He doesn't get a lot of the attention, and he's not getting the first shot, but he's started more games in this league (72) than the other candidates (Cooper, 14 or Green, 2), and he's been more or less healthy when he's been in the lineup. If he gets in shape, just staying in the lineup might make him more valuable than either Green or Cooper, who've had their struggles staying available.

On a side note, I wonder what weight they want him to get down to. If he's 320 now. Cooper's listed as 310, and Green 314. Bell is taller than both of those guys. If he's got two more cut downs to make, he'll be pretty skinny for an NFL OL...

I think he has a better shot of being the 1st lineman off the bench at this point, could be very valuable in that role . I feel like his best chance to start here was if they wanted to keep LC at LG with him being the RT. But I agree with you that he will have something to say about the competition at G as well.

I agree that two more weight drops might be excessive. I wouldn't think we'd want him to get down to 300. Maybe the other markers are for maintaining the weight?

It'll be interesting to see how it shakes out. I think Green ends up the swing OT. Then we've got to have a guy who can backup those interior OL positions. Looney and maybe Cooper can snap, right? Can anybody else?

He was told that the organization wanted him at 320 for OTA's if he wanted a chance to play for this team....I wouldn't put it past him challenging for the right tackle spot either

Backup center is going to be sketchy. It very well could come down to whoever plays that secondary role best ensuring who makes the 45 on gameday out of the backup guards, possibly even a roster spot.

True Dak. After all, Free was 318lbs. Without this signing, our 'Boys would have likely been forced to spend a high draft pick on an offensive lineman instead of addressing more pressing needs on their roster. Bell would be an ideal replacement for Free. Being he's healthy again after that gruesome injury which hit the Titans' hard, he's ready to rock n roll yet once again. Our Oline will continue being the best in the league.
