According to Robert Belt, if the offense needed him to, Luke Schoonmaker could be a 1,000 yard receiver his rookie year.

Considering there's only been two 1,000 yard rookie TEs in league history that is quite a statement.

I’d expect more something like and even this is generous

Ferguson - 500/600 yards
Schoonmaker - 200/300 yards
Hendershot - 100/200 yards

**not sure why my phone typed Hendersonshot lol**

The only way he gets it is huge YAC. From his gametape he looks capable.

Even richer considering he only had 637 in four years at Michigan.

I'm not saying his college career defines him .... but my guess is his first two pro seasons will probably total somewhere around 1000 yards or slightly north.

Belt is obviously a fanboy. Will be hard to take him seriously after this.
ACTUALLY, might be the first intelligent thing he has said in a long time. BB is usually a negative Nancy and "smartest guy in the room" A self ordained "expert." Which is very funny and dumb. He says alot of junk 2 see if it sticks. But THIS might be right what he said. Barring injury. Ferguson might have something to say about that.

Schoonmaker doesn't need to make 1000 yds. to gain my respect, nor should any C'boys fan require such production. Ferguson and Hendershot are especially adept in their own right. To be sure, the TE position should surely be in good hands for the upcoming season. I'm feeling confident that they'll comprise the best group that Dallas has had yet. Dak should rightfully be turning cartwheels having such a group at his disposal. I'm anxious to see exactly what they're capable of. If Dak doesn't thrive having such a productive group of WRs and TEs this year, I know not what to think, nor say. Most QBs would dearly love to have such outstanding talent on hand to throw to. Here's hoping Dak has his best year yet.

LOL.

When people wonder why Belt often doesn't get a ton of respect for his analysis, it's statements like this that explain why.

Isnt it great to be abe to say ridiculous crap in June knowing that nobody will remember it come September.... heck, come August.

I am not worried about TE. Ferguson and Hendershot showed me they can get it done in this league last year. Now put Ferguson on the field as much as Schultz, and Im pretty sure Ferguson could have 800 yards and 8 TDs this year.

We will be TE by committee.

It’s so obvious.

Plus even really good NFL TEs usually aren’t good as rookies or even 2nd year players.

It’s a development position.
