Gotta love the very realistic expectation’s with some fans? On top of that I’m seeing 2000 for Malik Davis and somewhere in the neighborhood of 1500 for Tolbert. Wow this offense is really gonna be amazing!
Thats some crazy talk.

That’s what a lot of these goofs don’t realize. If you watch Schoon’s film he is not a guy that is over physical trucking guys (ala Gronk) nor is he nimble or shifty, making guys miss in the open field and like you mentioned goes down on first contact. He does have some speed relative to his size so he can run open on timing routes like slants.
He's just a possession receiver with average at best speed. But... I think he'll be a fiesty blocker and a decent player...just think they took him at least a round too early.

HOW DO YOU SEE LUKE SCHOONMAKER CONTRIBUTING? – “Really excited that we got Luke. The way it fell was great. I think when you look at him, he’s a guy that we felt could do everything. He can control the C-gap in the run game. He’s well-coached. He’s real polished in the run game because of the way he was taught at Michigan, his strength, his lower body strength, his ability to fit combinations. But you don’t realize how fast the guy is. He’s a legit 4.58 guy and I think there are some things that we’re really excited about that he can bring us from a vertical standpoint of stretching the defense vertically. Like, again, it fell to where we’re really excited to get him and feel really good. I feel really good about that entire tight end room. It’s a really good tight end room. They’ve played a lot of football last year, which is great, and I think Luke just falls right in the mix with them.”

I mean all Belt was saying is Schoon has the tools to be a 1k recieving TE if the Cowboys NEEDED him to... much diferent than saying "He will have 1k recieving yards this year" Bobby does step in it sometimes though.

Ok so completly ignore his workout numbers.. they were off the chart for a TE strength, speed, agility all of it.

He was a possession TE in college. He just doesn't do much after the catch. Not saying he won't be a nice TE. I'd forget workout numbers though...and just watch his Michigan tape.

You act like I'm insulting the guy. I think he'll just be an old school TE. Old school TE weren't zipping down the field like some of the overgrown WRs are today: they blocked... caught balls that hit them in the hands...and were security blankets. I like the guy. Just think Dallas coulda gotten him a round or 2 later, and reached for need. Not his fault though.

Michigan ran a very basic offense and had bad QB play. They didn't scheme him anything to get yac in the open field. If you go back to 2021 that QB actually could get the ball down field better than this past years and he showed more ability to get yac.
