Belt is an idiot. I would put money on Ferguson, if healthy, having more yards than Schoonmaker this season and Ferguson isn't getting to 1000 yards,
Largely agree. Hes usually not very smart. One thing I see is how Ferguson is being forgotten . That's a mistake. I like the TE room alot. Can Dak take advantage?

According to Robert Belt, if the offense needed him to, Luke Schoonmaker could be a 1,000 yard receiver his rookie year.

Considering there's only been two 1,000 yard rookie TEs in league history that is quite a statement.

He won't get a chance to get 1k imo.

Battling plantar fasciitis and competing with two other young TEs he won’t even sniff 1000 yards. He’ll likely struggle to come up with 500 yards.

"I think Schoonmaker is going to be their number one primary threat. He's somebody that depending on how this offense breaks out, depending on the opportunities he gets. If they needed him to, if they really wanted to feed him. He could be capable of being a thousand yard receiver his first year. If they wanted to give him that kind of workload."

ACTUALLY, might be the first intelligent thing he has said in a long time. BB is usually a negative Nancy and "smartest guy in the room" A self ordained "expert." Which is very funny and dumb. He says alot of junk 2 see if it sticks. But THIS might be right what he said. Barring injury. Ferguson might have something to say about that.
BB was a professional scout. I think that qualifies him, no?

I’d expect more something like and even this is generous

Ferguson - 500/600 yards
Schoonmaker - 200/300 yards
Hendershot - 100/200 yards

**not sure why my phone typed Hendersonshot lol**
Collectively the TE group could produce 1k yards so agree. I don't know if Schoon or Ferguson will start.

This doesn't mean anything.

Any NFL TE COULD get 1000 yds.

Just a matter if ur offensive coaches want to feature you to a degree where you'd get 65 or 70 catches. Schoonmaker notoriously goes down at first contact so he won't be racking up YAC yds ...so just a matter if they want to give him that much work knowing it make take him 85 or 90 catches to reach 1000, vs a more dynamic TE might do it in 65 or 70.

I'd argue that if Dallas needed to feature Schoon to a degree where he would accumulate 1000 yds, that it would be a bad sign that too much drinking and dunking and Marty Ball was happening....8 yds per reception at a time.

Of course he won't get 1000 yards because he won't get enough targets. Last year he averaged 9.2 ypr so if he did that again he would need 109 receptions. That is more than CeeDee had last year.

So when he doesn't it will be because we didn't need him to instead of because he's a typical rookie TE?
