Belt: Miles Sanders showing way more juice than Javonte Williams

I think people are too quick to write off Sanders.
Well, the evidence from Carolina shows that he's a back in decline. It wasn't that he played on a team with bad run-blocking. He had a poor YPC while Chuba Hubbard had a great season. Doesn't mean he won't overcome that, but the evidence is against it. In his prime, Sanders was better than anything Williams has ever shown, though, peaking at 5.5 per carry in 2021. Williams' best has been 4.4.

They are. We have no idea what these guys will have left. Preseason should sort it all out.

People want to give Mingo the benefit of the doubt because it was Carolina but don’t want to give they same grace to Sanders…
Sanders was terrible and was given plenty of opportunities.

Only explanation is he either totally checked out or he’s almost finished.

Hubbard was elite for them.

That’s my point though. We don’t know if he checked out or simply was cooked. He very well could be cooked but we don’t know.

Question: Will “Coach Jones” even allow his prize RB FA signings to play this preseason?

Last summer, Zeke was considered so critical to this offense by our GM and shadow HC, he never played a down in a PS game. Will Jerry allow Sanders or Javonte Williams to be tire tested this summer?

I think they have to test them. It was different for Elliott, I believe. We knew him as a player and what he had done in the past here. (Jerry and the coaches were wrong, though, about what they believed he could do now.) We don't have that familiarity with Sanders and Williams. Now, I don't think they'll play a lot, maybe share the first quarter of the games and then turn it over to Vaughn, Blue and Mafah.

I don't see the excitement for Javonte Williams... at all. Rookie Phil Mafah can do the same kind of work while being young, fully healthy and likely much faster, quicker and stronger.

It's good to hear how Miles Sanders is looking good in OTAs, but let's see if he can keep it up and stay healthy in training camp and preseason.

I mean he has to doesn’t he? To see what they have? Zeke…I don’t think he wanted to see how cooked he was

Honestly, I would shed a tear if we got rid of both of them. Please don't tell me about them averaging 4.5 to 5.0 yards per carry, coz neither player scares defensive coordinators.

*** Rico rushed for over 1000 yards last season
*** Hell, Darren McFadden averaged over 5+ yards in his final year here and was out of football the next season.
