I've been wanting to reply to this for a while but I did not know exactly how I wanted to say it.iceberg;3809375 said:it's funny hos how the IGS loves to have the latest shiney object but an investment of time and resources is beyond comprehension.
so dez needs to grow up. most people his age do. will he do it before training camp? doubt it. so the IGS will whine on people don't grow up in time for the sitcom to end.
My biggest problem with the media in the DFW area is they are not willing to learn. Steve Dennis is so convinced that he is right about everything that I literally want to laugh in his face.
For instance, in the PC to announce Garrett as the new Head Coach he asked something along the lines of this. "How much convincing did Jerry Jones have to do to get you to take this job?"
If it were not for the qualifying phrase "how much convincing" I doubt it would bother me at all. If he asked, "did Jerry have to convince you?" I never would even flinch. But "how much" indicates that he is absolutely sure that the Head Coach job in Dallas is something no sensible person would want.
That irks me. He'll completely ignore the rumors that Jeff Fisher wanted out in Tennessee to come here if Garrett was not the guy and invent the Dallas job as impossible. It is merely a continuation of his on air calling the team losers in 2009 when Brooking got so pissed at him. Secretly he thinks he has proven Brooking wrong and his own diagnosis correct and eh is going to push it every chance he gets.
Then you get the stuff like these Dez rumors. Let me be real succinct. I seriously doubt that no player in History ever stayed awake for every film session. My gosh, the lights are low and the discussion is often not real exciting. Chances of sleep are high.
Lateness to meetings I have a problem with. But now, we're got media who are searching for former disgruntled players to find things about the team to rip apart. I submit that Patrick Crayton is at best a 3rd party source for this information. But you watch, several media sheep will follow Calvin Watkins' lead and write about this pending issue in Dallas.
To do this they will completely ignore all of positive things said about Dez last year by Kitna, Garrett, Sherman, and others and they will make this a huge deal. Bigger than not carrying pads.
Might someone in the Front Office have said they'd listen to trade offers? Yeah. I would think that is true of any player. Wide awake or sound asleep. But now it's an issue and they will scratch it until it bleeds because the blood, no matter how long they have to scratch, is their instant gratification.
They can then stand back and say, "see, I tried to tell you."
