Bench: Barber and Folk

I'm done with Nicholas.

He struggled in the pre-season too.

Send a message to the team, that we are NOT playing.

Cut his ***.

RBs don't have a long shelf-life anyways, and Barber's physical style earlier in his career seems to have shortened his shelf-life quicker than most.

That plus the nagging little injuries, and it's not a big surprise that Barber is now a shell of what he was just a couple years ago.

And now he's got a fumbling problem. I'd love to see an EVEN three-way split for carries between Barber, Choice, and Felix, but that's probably not happening.

Let Bueler (sp?) kick field goals. He couldn't do any worse. Choice needs to get the bulk of the carries with Felix sprinkled in and Barber as an afterthought.

Bench our run blocking, too.

I'm not in the mood to bash (Garrett) & the play calling right now but we are not running the right plays for this O-line. We have more success from power runs vs finesse. Also dump the razor back, teams already know what we are going to do, nobody expects Choice to pass (*Yawn.*)

Barber is playing out of position right now and it's killing us. Move him back to the role where he earned his 1st and only Pro Bowl.

I really really really like barber.

Having said that, I dont think it would be a bad thing if he loses some carries....but my reasoning for it would be becaue of his fumbing problem.

He almost cost us the game against the skins and his fumble today was the biggest play of the game.

I think folk is an excellent kicker in a funk. And it appears the problem is mcbriar holding. Which is odd because mcbriar as aready lost the holding job once before in 2004.

he went from the Barbarian to being a totally lame RB

but he's the heart of the offense, so he gets all the looks

I think he'd be on the bench if he weren't such a good pass blocker. He's keeping Romo from getting killed.

Those two singlehandedly have been killing us for a while now. This is the third time (That comes to mind) where a Barber fumble totally changes our momentum shifting to the opponents favor, plus he is to damn slow to be the feature back. We waste to many plays on this guy. Get him out of there!!

Folk has been off for a while now so it's time to get Buehler in there. 57 yard field goal attempt and we don't use our Boot??? C'mon man. Then he misses the next one for what, 37 yards? He's off, get him out of there!!! Buehler needs to be our guy for the next few games, no brainer...

There are many other things that hurt us but those two hurt us the most. This coach is to soft, if he doesn't make an example out of these two then the rest of the season will continue to go down the drain...

Now fill up the glasses and give me some koolaide!!!:banghead:

A change does not to be made. Marion Barber needs to return to the closer role. Felix Jones needs to start and give the offense more punch out of the backfield. Tashard Choice needs more carries and not just in the wildcat. Choice is the healthiest back and needs to be used more in the offense. Is it just me, or does Barber's fumbles completely change games. He hasn't been 100% since week 2.

I'm sorry to say this but Barber my man.........You need to sit on the bench. I feel bad, but time to move on.

Folk looks like He's lost his confidence. Does Buehler do Fg's aswell?

Barber has proven, especially today, the he's really more suited for the closer role. He's not nearly as good as the starter. They should use Choice and Jones through out the game, sprinkling Barber in here and there, and then use Barber late in the games to pound on the defense. That's where he's at his best.

Also i don't get how they even had Folk try a 57 yarder. He clearly hasn't been himself this year and then you've got the kid on the sidelines who has a monster of a leg. Should have let him have that shot, even if he is a rookie.

Barber should give back the "Barbarian" title. He gets tackled too easily by a DB in the open field lately.

He kicked some in pre season. Might as well let him have a shot at it. Folk is in one of the harshes slumps I have seen a kicker have. 4 straight games with misses, something like 4 out of his last 5 attempts are misses, and more misses this year than the rest of his career combined. Combined with that Folk had zero touchbacks last year, and Buehler has been lighting it up in that regard with nearly 20 or so this year, and its time to let Buehler have a go at it. If he makes his kicks in that situation, then just release Folk. That gives us a valuable roster spot back. Yeah, I know Folk could light it up elsewhere, but we can't worry about that. The fact is that he's struggling far too much and its hurting the team at the worst possible time.

Choice and Felix are as good as Barber - can't keep using that excuse for keeping Methusala on the field.

Totally agree! Barber always was a great running back late in the game against a tired defense to really bust off some hard runs. Why the staff decided he was a good starting back, I have no idea. That's just not his style. Couple that with his fumblitis and his role needs to be changed.

Barber hasn't been the same since Julius Jones got benched. And that is just saying he is not a starter, he is a situational running back, and he is running out of gas.

That is a change my friend...;)

According to Football Outsiders, before this week, Barber had the 7th highest DVOA and the 6th highest success rate.

Yes because he's money on short yardage and goal line situations which increases these stats tremendously. He made the Pro Bowl playing this role so why not get him back where he belongs?
