All I'm getting from this is the NFL looks at a lot of these guys who were strictly off the ball linebackers as second rounders they don't really reach for them much and neither did the Cowboys and we're gonna get dinged for it when a lot of fans and scouts and teams usually wait till the second round to get these guys because they are there in the 2nd round the problem is a lot of these teams were picking ahead of the Cowboys The Cowboys probably had some of these guys on their list but y'all won't let it go lots of teams allowed this to happen not just the Cowboys can we let the season play out what if Barham ends up over 17 games playing better than these guys Can we let it play out a bit?

Yeah, their approach to opt out of supplementing the roster through free agency caused them to pigeon hole themselves during the draft to fill needs.

I feel like this is the #1 reason this franchise has regressed from a relatively competitive playoff team most years to a bottom-dweller the last few years. Relying on the draft to fill holes instead of FA is what poor franchises do.

I’ve been ardently following the draft for 35+ years now. Even so, Mazi was a lesson for me to trust your eyes and convictions.

I never saw the player Mazi was purported to be on tape at Michigan. Combine that with his absolutely abysmal production and it was clear to see he was purely hype—a myth based on supposed freaky athleticism.

Despite all that I allowed myself to be convinced there must be something I’m just missing. There wasn’t.

Man, this really hurt my feelings until I realized you’re the guy that hyped Lil’ Humphrey Jordan as a 1st round prospect and claimed Roschon Johnson would be the starter on 90% of teams.
