I think it will be singleton and one of the safeties, possibly coleman. i might get hammered for saying this but i dont think beriault has a spot on this team. i would have no problem moving keith davis to SS in order to have him backup RW if he goes down then we still have watkins at FS and insurance in Coleman.

he had to have knee surgery last year -- that isn't a gift. a team can't cut an injured player.

That is disappointing news. Hopefully he will recover enough to have a 'normal' life.

If we think he can reccover than he'll be on IR but I can't see us paying him 2 years straight while not playing a snap. Sucks but that's the business side of things.

A real shame.....I would have liked to have seen him get his chance to compete. :(
Me too. Every indication is that he gave everything he had to make the most of his opportunity. Maybe he'll find some comfort in that as he looks back on his football career.

Steve Dennis was saying he talked to him the other day and he still didn't seem right... And he didn't even remember the couple of days before he got hit in the head. So that was some concussion. Scary stuff.

But that along with the knee makes me think he's done. Too bad.
They asked Parcells if it was more than the concussion with Beriault and he didn't want to say either way until he talked to the player. Then he said it was more than the concussion.
That told me his knee wasn't right either.
I was really pulling for the guy.

I was really saddened when I listened to BPs press conference. This guy gave everything in TC last year, he had a good game against Seattle in pre-season too.

I know there is no room for sentimentality, but having met him and his father at TC this year it just confirmed to me that he was a great kid.

Ah well. Here's hoping for the best - still wishing it's with us!! :)
