Berny to the Jags

Not surprising.

Also, on a similar topic, the idea of a cash floor is stupid. Why not just take off the cap entirely and let the efficient market work itself out?

well now we need a guard or tackle depending on the starting 5 next year. Green finished the year. It would help if he could contribute.

Will he start there? Or did he just want out of town? The Cowboys probably pay that to him as a backup C/G
Unless they don't sign Wisniewski back, he will be in the mix to compete for a role. They really do not have a starting center at the moment.

Because then the owners wouldn't make any money and would lose control of the business.

They got to find a backup center. There was talk that Green has the talent but I don't think he's ever taken the snaps and hopefully he beats out Free-loader.

As far the topic on hand, Green can likely play guard in a pinch as well as be a swing tackle, so I wouldn't be surprised to see us draft a center in the 6th and use him to replace Bernadeau

Free market capitalism works every time. One man is worth what another man is willing to pay.
That and the size of contracts would go down if contract money amounts were kept from the public

I've read many links here at the Zone noting this is a good draft for centers. I think they can find one as good as Bern.

Good as in where though? Like the 6th round? Because, we shouldn't be looking at backups or depth positions until about the 6th round unless its QB.

I say this is just an opportunity to get Leary some snaps at center. Leary is a far better player than Berny, just not as versatile. They have an entire offseason to work that versatility into Leary's game so we have the best players active on gameday.
