Besides ODB, who's your biggest concern for the GIants?

For me, it's Shane Vereen. We always have trouble with RB's outta the backfield and this guy is very good. I think we can hold them to about 21 pts or so. We should score 30ish but ODB and Vereen are worrisome. Is Cruz officially out?

MY biggest concern period is their running game. If they cannot run the ball they are not going to be able to buy enough time to get OBJ downfield.

I look at the Giants and think the only way we can lose is by shooting ourselves in the foot. ODB is really the only threat.

That defense took a hit.

Yes, when I close my eyes, I see a big, yawning safety-less cavern in the middle of the field. I see Terence Williams repeatedly running untouched through that cavern.

I don't think the Steelers came out flat. For whatever reason, they had no communication with their DB's (and just by coincidence, their headsets weren't working). On the very first play, NE lines up in a simple 4 WR set and the Steelers were confused as to what coverage they were in. Happened most of the night.

But, they were moving the ball well and then genius Haley thru in some awful playcalls (the trick play was beyond stupid...you've moved the ball well on that drive, you didn't need a trick play). And then Scobee missed 2 FG's.

I thought the effort was there, but coaching woes and kicking woes killed them.

YR

Sorry that was a poorly worded response on my part and really is 2 separate concerns. 1. Cowboys come out flat. 2.Play like the Steelers. Poor communication on both sides of the ball that directly impacted to how points were scored.

Hopefully Eli doesn't get going, he had a hell of a year last year.

The two time Super Bowl MVP and two time Super Bowl champ Eli Manning. He plays the most important position on the field and always plays well against Dallas. As erratic as he can be...the guy can play.

The return of Spags to DC is probably a close second to Eli.

The one player that has come to play against us in the past. ... Eli manning. It's really that simple. If Brandon Jacobs was there I would pick him. Some players just play well against us.

Eli Manning. Somehow, he always has one or two prayer throws that he chucks with his eyes closed that get caught for big plays.
I will say their running game and Larry Donnell and of course Eli it seems that his best games are always against the Cowboys.

It's the same thing every year. If we get pressure on Eli we win (easily) and if we don't get pressure on him then at best it is a dog fight to the end or we get blown out. If the pressure we have been getting translates to the regular season then we should be in a good shape. The offense will score its points even if the running game isn't all worked out yet.

Not completely true. Although, it's true against ANY QB.

We have seen eli get knocked around by us.... And still hurt us in the end.

Eli getting his lucky plays and his biased calls from the refs.

I would say some defensive player always seems to have a one time only breakout game against us. And usually gets a big hit on Romo. Give me a max protect game with Romo to start out. Break the will of the Giants D, then pound them in the mid 3rd quarter on until the end of the game.

Nice summary, and very reflective of the matches between these two. Hoping for the same finish you are

Only us self destructing, I.e. Turning the ball over. Outside of that, I can't see us losing
